Right now at BGR headquarters, one of the phones on our “want list” is definitely the HTC Hero — especially after checking out all that delicious HTC Sense UI goodness. After getting some of that typical Europeans-get-it-first jealousy out of the way, we were happy to hear the device is headed stateside later this year [...]
A Qik video posted to YouTube shows off the many sides of the Nokia 6790 Surge, codenamed Mako, headed soon to AT&T. The unusually shaped handset has already been spec’d and exclusively photographed in detail of course, so the only real takeaway beyond the release name of the handset is the fact that it will [...]

Over the past few month, we’ve seen several sites run cost comparisons on the latest and greatest smartphones from each of the top four carriers in the US. Good — presenting readers with cost analysis is always a good idea. We’re finding that just about all of these comparisons do so on the high end [...]

Life’s a bitch and so is karma, but AT&T is hoping to change that with the Motorola Karma QA1. A goofy looking dumb phone that bears an uncanny resemblance to the Somerset, the Karma is a media-centric device that has home screen access to both Facebook and MySpace as well as support for email, IM, [...]

While no official numbers are available just yet of course, AT&T Mobility Prez Ralph De La Vega has just issued a preliminary 3G S assessment during an interview with CNBC. According to De La Vega, iPhone 3G S demand is exceeding AT&T’s expectations and “hundreds of thousands of customers” have pre-ordered the new Apple handset. [...]

Do you see anyone you know standing in that line? Today is the day to pack up your toys, gadgets and snacks, and head out to Apple/AT&T/Rogers/Fido/Carphone Warehouse or wherever else if you didn’t order your iPhone online to be shipped. After all, it’s either lines today or a test of patience down the road. [...]
We know, we know. This isn’t like last year when we were the first to have an iPhone 3G, but come on, we’re the first to have one that’s not supposed to have one yet. That’s got to count for something? Since the phone isn’t activated at the moment, there’s not much to show besides [...]

As we’re sure you’re all very well aware by now, tomorrow marks the day that the iPhone 3G S will be available to the masses. Online pre-orders will be delivered and both Apple and AT&T stores will be opening with stock in hand to sell. Those preparing to score themselves a shiny new iPhone 3G [...]

Ruh roh, Shaggy. According to an unending stream of tips flowing into our inbox, iPhone / iPod touch activation servers just bit it, big time. Apparently Apple and AT&T underestimated the wave of Apple handset users dying for OS 3.0 and the swarm was just too much to handle. If you’re trying to reactivate your [...]

It looks like iPhone 3G early adopters will get a special bonus courtesy of Apple and AT&T today. For one reason or another, AT&T caved and those who purchased the iPhone 3G between July 2008 and September 2008 will be able to upgrade to the iPhone 3G S at fully subsidized prices — $199 for [...]

We got a tip from one of our most-trusty ninjas earlier this morning about this, but we’ve now also got a screenshot from someone else, too. To make a long story short, if you did not pre-order an iPhone 3G S from AT&T yet, (we’re not talking about Apple because we don’t have information on [...]

HTC has been seriously the little (now big) engine that could. Does anyone even remember what the T-Mobile Pocket PC (Wallaby) looked like? Now the number one Windows Mobile manufacturer in the world, they show no signs of stopping — they even added Android to their portfolio. But let’s be honest, you’re here to check [...]
