With one day to go before it hits stores shelves, the much talked about root for the HTC EVO 4G has been released to the public. All of the files needed to get the job done, along with a detailed tutorial, have been posted to the xda-developers forum, and by all accounts this works pretty darn well. Anyone planning to bring a laptop when you go shopping for your EVO? Just imagine the nerd cred you’d get for rooting your phone while walking out of the store!
