AT&T mobile broadband road warriors have two new 3G devices that they can add to their arsenal of connectivity hardware. Up first is the AT&T USBConnect Velocity from Option which is the first LaptopConnect device to offer on-board GPS. Customers can utilize the on-board GPS and Option’s GPS Control Panel software to obtain location based information from Yahoo Maps and Microsoft’s Bing search engine. Enterprise users can also use TeleNav Track Lite and Xora GPS Locator to locate and track employees in the field. If you prefer speed over location, then check out the USBConnect Turbo from LG which features 7.2Mbps HSPA connectivity in a compact, lightweight design. For those that need a portable storage solution, both devices also offer a built-in microSD slot for storing and accessing files on the go. Starting March 7th, the Turbo will be available for free after rebate while the Velocity will set you back $29.99 after rebate. Available online and in AT&T stores, both devices require a new two year DataConnect contract of at least $35 per month to receive this promotional pricing. Hit the jump for a press photo of the AT&T USBConnect Turbo from LG.

You work at bestbuy? I am jealous. You must have great pay and pension! And as far as AT&T goes, just like apple with so many haters; Guess that’s because AT&T was just recently rated the FASTEST 3G carrier with highest reliability. You can keep your piss poor sprint network too btw. Do they accept foodstamps as payment methods?

what does pay and pension have to do with anything? I work there part time for extra cash while i’m finishing up school. We always get customers who return att cards. Don’t be mad. it’s ok, really it is :D

Best Buy has a ton of aircard returns b/c they dont sell them with the proper expectations, att is reliable where we have 3g (70% of population) Sprint has announced simply everyone credit policy if you have a pulse your approved!!!! VZW has quickly gone from power house to runnin scared. instead of focusing on a logical technology evolution they chose to wast money advertising a 2yr old att map that only shows hspa coverage and thats because att is adding more new subs over the last few quarters……. can you hear me now? lol

my whole company depends on the at&t data sticks and it works great for us. we always have good 3G reception where we go all over the USA and we are all happy with the speeds. In fact alot of the workforce in our company personally has at&T because it performs so well while we use it for work.

Also for all u salesman and reps out there, just because u get alot of returns at your location doesn’t mean it’s any better or worse in general for the entire US population.

my comapy surveyed 350 of our employees to see if the tools and technology provided for them was excellent or not. When it came to the section that determines 3G speed and connectivity and dependability 342 out of the 350 said it was perfect and the other 8 had bad experiences with it based on their areas of travel for the company. Now these are traveling, working professionals that use their notebooks and the internet for 90% of their job so i’d say they are a qualified judge of dependability.

Another interesting note to point out is that we were using VZW and Sprint prior to this and AT&T has had the most favorable ratings amongst the employees and also most dependability for data according to them.

So don’t always judge things based on the opinions of consumers who aren’t always the most educated buyers.
