Photos of RIM’s BlackBerry Storm3 (slider)?

bbslider3

You might have caught our report on the much-rumored sliding BlackBerry device a couple days back. Some pictures just surfaced at BBLeaks, and while we’re not able to confirm their authenticity at this time, they do match up with the product that has been described to us. Sadly, if the photos are real (we’re hoping for RIM’s sake they aren’t), it truly seems like RIM really is stuck in 2005.

UPDATE: BBLeaks told us they’re getting clearer images and video/s. This might be the real deal, folks. Single tear.

If it was a touchscreen like the storm, it would be perfect… but since I see a trackpad on the device i’m not going to get my hopes up. I think if this type of a slider comes out, it’s name won’t be storm.

Someone called this “FUGLY” – they hit the nail on the head. If this is the Storm3, I’ll buy a 4G iPhone or Google phone in Nov (end of contract). I bought the Storm BECAUSE it didn’t have any slide out, pop out or click out keyboard. I bought the Storm for a big touch screen with NO keyboard. I like being able to use my Storm with ONE hand. RIM – just make the Storm3 OS run faster, run longer (battery life), and skip the kiddie gizmo’s. How’d that flip Pearl work out for ya? :D

I agree with Mike. If I wanted a slide out QWERTY keyboard, I would have bought the Android. The full touch screen Storm is the only reason I even considered having a Blackberry. My only problem with the Storm2 is horrible battery life, sucky web browsing, and some other minor difficulties. Upgrade the Storm, don;t change it!
