HTC HD2 and Motorola CLIQ XT headed to T-Mobile next month?

tmo-hd2-cliq-xt-slide

If a slide posted to the PPCGeeks forum is both legitimate and accurate, then T-Mobile customers have two pretty nifty smartphones headed their way next month in the HTC HD2 and Motorola CLIQ XT. The HD2, a device we’re positive that anyone who at least occasionally frequents this site is well-versed on, is said to drop on March 10th with the CLIQ XT two weeks later on March 24th. What on earth is the CLIQ XT? Apparently it’s the Zeppelin, the physical-keypad shunning, pure touchscreen alternative to the somewhat maligned CLIQ. Still not getting it? Well, we did see it in the silicon the other day. The question is: Will we actually see it and the HD2 with T-Mobile branding next month?

Actually it shows the CLIQ dropping on 3/10 and the HD2 on 3/24 but either way T-Mobile’s 3G will do the same to them as it did to the N1.

What’s with the HD2 being called an “Entertainment Device”?

      Yeah says:

Because 1) non-phone geeks get turned off by calling a WM phone a WM phone, and 2) It has a 4.3 inch screen, and is called the HD2.

They been putting out dope devices for awhile they just never advertised before, ever. Also they used to be content not labeling their devices htc. Like most americans you need a commercial to tell you something exists.

HD2 comes out March 24, which happens to be my birthday. If that’s not a sign, I don’t know what is.

If I didn’t like Android so much, I’d be tempted to get the HD2. Still waiting for T-Mobile to step their Android game up.

I wish the HD2 had a slide out keyboard. I hate virtual keyboards.

I know for a fact that the HTC HD2 is coming to T-Mobile, the company has already created a page for it on their website. And to the comment wrote by tluv00 the reason why the N1 had 3G issues was a software problem that the N1 had, which Google has already announced a software update that will help with that issue. A lot people who didn’t have a Nexus One, like myself I have a G1 and I didn’t have the 3G issues the N1 had. The only thing am afraid of is have the N1 and the HTC HD2 on T-Mobile network might weight the network down. And if your a Windows Mobile fan I would get the HTC HD2 it’s better then it’s European version, which is rare for US handsets. And it has the same processor and the N1.

I have been looking everywhere for this piece of information on the web and cannot find the answer to it…

    Question for any HD2 owners:

Does the HD2 ‘blow up’ to full screen m4v files like the iPod Touch/iPhone does?

There is some sort of zoom feature that allows the Apple devices to actually use the full screen. It would be a shame that such a gorgeous screen like the HD2’s go to waste by just giving us letter-box movie viewing.

    Thanks.

Look for the CLIQ XT to ship in black and white colors, similar to the two designs offered for the CLIQ. Early photos of the CLIQ XT showed the device in white and the leaked roadmap shows it in black.

No price point has been announced, but expect something similar to the current T-Mobile CLIQ which debuted at $199 with 2 year agreement and now sits at $149. Feeds: http://is.gd/8FB6K
