Verizon Wireless getting Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus?
We’ve heard that Verizon Wireless will be 100% carrying the Palm Pixi in addition to the Palm Pre, and that the official names will be the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus. We have also been told that the Palm Pre Plus (codenamed Russell) and Palm Pixi (codenamed Romo) will run the recently released webOS version 1.3.5 and not something newer at launch. Lastly, hardware specifications look to be identical to the original Sprint Pre and Pixi in terms of size.

Sprint’s losing a lot more than money thanks to their horrid customer service.
Oh wait, by lowering their customer base it actually increases the bandwidth they can offer to existing (remaining) customers, thereby increasing reliability of data throughput and packet loss! They are actually saving money by not having to buy more phones to sell, and by not having to put up more infrastructure. Cutting customers to save costs, what a concept! LOL
With all due respect, other carriers could learn a lot from Sprint’s pricing model…if nothing else. I hope if VZW finally buys Sprint out they will retain that.

I wonder why ever comment section turns into carrier and phone bashing….the bottom line is all these companies make money off of us (the consumer). I personally feel no need to defend or argue for them. They do everything they can to be profitable…not serve you individually…I just think people should comment about articles, not how they love verizon or f’in hate the iphone!!

All I hope for the VZW Pre + and Pixi + is wifi for the Pixi and (native webOS) video capture for both.
I work as a physician in the SF Bay area and have had two separate patient’s of mine (Palm employees) who have shown me the new Palm Pre. It doesn’t have the button at the bottom, but otherwise looks the same. They say it will have more internal memory. I had thought of switching from Verizon to Sprint for the Palm Pre and they’ve told me I’ll be glad I didn’t.
