Twitter gives mobile page desperately needed update
Here at BGR we have been known to drop a tweet or two from time to time — we’re looking squarely at you @bettiol — and although we usually use a certain Twitter client since we’re rockin’ BlackBerry smartphones, we were still happy to hear Twitter’s mobile site has received a makeover. The previous iteration of Twitter’s mobile site was, how do we put this, non functional impossible frustrating useless bad, so when the new site hit we were skeptical. However, we are happy to report that the new mobile site is fully featured, properly laid out, easy to use, and well designed. We actually kind of like it. Now, the current version is only optimized for WebKit based browsers (Android, iPhone, WebOS, ect.), but the site does seem to run on our BlackBerry browsers just fine. Go ahead, take you handset over to mobile.twitter.com and give it a whirl. If you are really bored you could always friend @mdflores, @andrewmunchbach, @bettiol or our official @boygeniusreport account. Don’t say we didn’t warn you about Mikey though!
P.S. We’d post BG’s Twitter username but he insists on only having “organic” followers. If you’d like to add him, it’s not like it is rocket science…
awesome! great news, now i can view twitter via the browser a lot better, because i made the mistake of purchasing tweetgenius, and have had problems with it since, and support has completely ignored over 11 emails about it. GOOD WORK BGR THANKS.
I feel you, i got that app as well, i emailed them a few different times, but i guess cause I’m new to the site they just don’t care..the screen shots for the app was very misleading on what you get, i got the app cause i wanted the beejive app that was in the pic, why did i need to buy his app when i had ubertwitter and i works just fine… but i guess that these companies have to make there money, mislead customers then when they have ?’s or a complaint the email is just sent to the spam folder…
m.twitter.com doesn’t have the makeover. mobile.twitter.com does.
