New Motorola Android handset spotted, photographed
Posted up in our comments under our Motorola Sholes Tablet article is supposedly another never-yet-seen Motorola Android handset. This is also apparently a full touchscreen device that features an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, 3.8 inch display, 800 MHz processor and has a sleek black, rounded appearance. Another picture after the break for you to enjoy while we send out our connects for more information…

Thanks, yard!
UPDATE: Sorry guys, as some of you pointed out, this is definitely a fake.

The “Motorola” logo is not quite right….like it was resized to a slightly different aspect ratio……
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
I agree with Han, in the 2nd photo specifically. The “M” is not centered properly, not is it’s “arrows” pointing to the top center the way it should or would if it were real.
I think the version we pine for will be the Sholes with no slide keyboard, industrial all the way, not the princess phone pictured above.
I disagree. The logo appears authentic except for a minor parallax distortion consistent with the fluorescent light reflection – the photo was not taken head-on.
That there is a slight distortion is actually evidence that it was NOT ‘photoshopped’
Of course, this does not mean the phone is genuine, it simply indicates that this was done from a model, not some imaging slight-of-hand.
the problem with that logic is that the photo could be taken of a real phone where the distortion is present then the logos photoshopped on top with them slightly transparent so you can still see the distortion. its actually really easy and you would get the affect your talking about
I agree with Will.I.Am82. Looks very Samsung-ish. Looks like someone threw us a fast one, folks. Not a twrribpe job, but whoever made this image needs a new hobby and some more PhotoShop training.
Thanks “AndroidFANATIK09.” You’re a friggin’ genius! LOL
Ya, that is some samsung phone with the droid buttons placed on the front terrably and a blackberry looking chin. The droid buttons arent even lined up with the phone. Also the camera and the back is the same as the Omnia 2. Just compare it to this picture http://www.forcatech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Samsung-Omnia-2-Camera.jpg
Also the motorola logo is not at the center of the phone, but rather at the top which makes no sense, and looking closely the motorola logo it does not point to the top of the phone but rather its top left edge.
That’s 5 megapixels.
Yup, I read 5.0 MEGA AUTO FOCUS too, which follows the other leaked info I’ve heard about the Sholes tablet project.
this is the Motorola Droid Redone.. its the version without the physical keyboard.. check it out on phonedog.com its specs will be pretty familiar
Unfortunately it doesen’t quite match the design of the other leaks regarding the sholesTablet

I call bulls*&t. This looks photoshopped and not consistent with what moto normally puts out
This is a photoshop job on a Omnia II !
Also how did they get it?
I like 8Mp camera
I actually heard that Droid Tablet will have 5mp camera. The pictures this time were 100% real from some Chinese holding it. It was kind of weird though. Too bad… To tell the truth I didn’t expect Moto to come with a 8mp-camera phone any time soon. It is just their strategy.
Keep rocking Moto!
Looks nice. Slide out keyboard? I have the Droid and have never used the slideout. Osk works great.
Yeah the only time i used it was to play some NES roms.
def. 5 MP camera
What led me to believe was fake was those 4 touch icons from the droid… Am i the only one that thinks it looks like someone simply cropped the bottom off of a droid picture? it looks like those buttons are on top of a raised platform..
Not to chime in late and all, but I will.
Isn’t that writing on the back copyrighted and trademarked Samsung’s?
That’s what Samsung puts on their cameras, saying “mega” instead of megapixel or MP.
So there’s no way Motorola would be swiping Samsung’s “look” that includes the writing under the camera.
The legal aspects of that alone tell me this is a hoax.
And I don’t know if anyone else sees this or concludes I need a new pair of glasses:
But look at the purported logo on the back. It looks to me like the logo was layered on, or super imposed on to the phone that had the reflection of the lighting.
In other words, the actual phone is underneath the M logo. The M logo is not casting a reflection and it can’t since this person has limited skills.
Also, like others said, when he superimposed the M logo he did not take care to place it correctly on top of the phone image. He needed to rotate it clockwise slightly.
If someone else has commented on this, sorry for the repeat.
Lastly, it looks like he layered it on the image then used eraser to clean up the area around the logo. But he forgot to clean it up completely, because there is see a black dot outside the logo, at about 8:00. It’s not debris on the phone. If you magnify it, it a colored pixel the same as the M logo.
YA TOTALLY LOOKZ FAKE PLUS WHERE IS DA VERIZON LOO. AND DA MOTOROLA LOGO IN DA BACK IS O UP…..NEXT TIME IF UR GONNA TRY TO HOODWINK US DO IT PROFESSIONALLY
This looks like a shop. I can tell from some of the pixels and seeing lots of other shops.
In other news, this looks like a storm.
So…
Motorola’s making Blackberrys now?
You can even see that the reflection of those lights in the second picture is dimmed where the Motorola logo is. And not in a way that would happen with a darker, but still shiny logo.
Its an OMNIA II ! Compare the camera bezels. Did nobody else read NASA’s post? It’s a Samsung with a Moto logo on it and a photoshopped front. END.
