AT&T offering 50% off all BlackBerry smartphones, Verizon Android BOGO?
Neither is confirmed at the moment, but we’ve heard that AT&T, starting Friday, will be offering 50% off any BlackBerry smartphone with new activation and minimum $30 monthly data package. Separately we’ve been told Verizon Wireless will be offering up their infamous buy-one-get-one-free promotions for their Android handsets, the DROID and DROID Eris. That’s supposed to start December 4th as well.

well i went to the verzion store here where i live just a hour ago and was looking at the driods. the sales lady told me starting tomorrow 12/4 it’s bogo buy the driod from motorola get the driod eris free and she said the price is 99.99 for the motorola driod.

My local Verizon store staff said the BOGO offer will get your an Eris with purchase of DROID or Eris. Line must be upgrade eligible under the same account. Not sure if add-a-line is eligible though. It starts on the 4th.

I don’t work for any of those companies. Is a new activation the same as starting a new 2-year contract if you’re eligible for an upgrade?
