Motorola Crush now available from U.S. Cellular
Motorola has announced that its brand new handset, the Crush, is available as of this week from U.S. Cellular. Going for $79.95 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract, Motorola is positioning the Crush as an affordable phone with a high-end design. Having said that, we can’t help but think only Motorola would think placing the lock and power buttons on either side of the earpiece is “high-end”. Having said that, the Crush has the following features: 2.8″ 240×400 WQVGA touchscreen display, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD support for cards up to 16GB and EV-DO Rev. 0 connectivity. Is anyone going to check this bad boy out, or does your heart yearn for something else?

It also feels really solid. I know thats not really a concrete expression but it’s hard to put a finger on it. It just fits well in the hand and has a really good size and just feels really well built.

So you think this is a good buy? You’re satisfied with it? I just would like to know what you think about it becuase I plan on purchasing one within the next few days. Thanks for the comment =)
You might want to hold off for a while. I’ve had this phone for a week and overall am very satisfied, but it has some problems… for one, you cannot customize the icons on the main menu, even though 3 of them are easyedge apps (and you can’t get rid of the buttons, even if you don’t have and don’t want to buy the apps). Second, you can make your own mp3s the “default” ringtone but for some reason when you want to apply a ringtone to an individual contact, you can only use the preset ringtones that come on the phone, and you can’t use your own music. Hopefully they’ll get these things fixed, because they are both pretty basic things that even really cheap phones have. I would really like to give people their own ringtones and get the stupid pacman and toneroom applications off my main menu.
I agree, I really hope they fix it so we can give people their own ringtones, not the preset ones!!! And it would be nice to take off the apps we don’t want! Other than that I am very satisfied with the phone.
I dnt like this phone, cant put my own ringtones on,plus cant find my info when I put in my sd card, this phone sucks
I am not sure that I like the phone either. My husand already returned his and I am thinking of returning mine. I agree with everyone else. You can’t add your own ringtones unless you download them from ToneRoom and that can get expensive. Was real excited about the phone but am now disappointed. It think it’s a cheap verison of a touch screen.
I’ve had mine for 3 days and may return it, also. It’s all show but has nothing special about it. Got it for $30.00 yet still feel a little ripped off.
Stu,
Let me know when you’re ready to sell. We bought one this week and would like to buy three more. Or… I have a Motorola Q (green) to sell or trade.
u guys dont like pacman and cant figure out how to make your own ring tones. do u even need a cell phone?
i cant solve the pacman atm. but i can tell u how to get personalized ring tones. not the 1.99 ones either.
u can bluetooth your ringtones from others phone i have the motrola crush an love it
I’ve had the phone for about a week. I was frustrated with not being able to personalize ringtones, but you can create/send ringtones at http://www.myxer.com . Those ringtones you are able to put with your contacts. I’m still not totally convinced I like the phone yet, but now that I know that I can personalize ringtone it’s looking a little better.
None of you have probably even tried this phone out in the store. So all of you should probably quit hatin’. This is a pretty nice phone in my opinion. I like where the buttons are too. I just wish you didn’t have to have a internet plan with the tritan and bliss, because i would much rather have one of those.
yes u do that wats make the phone
Some of us don’t have much choice in the matter. We live in an area with terrible cellphone coverage. Friends who brag about their ‘fantastic coverage… works anywhere phone’ come to our house and learn that theirs is not so great after all.
Now, after saying all that. There are only two brands of phones which consistently have the muscle to do their stuff at our home… Nokia and Motorola. So, we got this little Motorola with the guarantee that we could take it back if it performed poorly. And guess what? It works great. We need three more now. So, if any disgruntled folks want to sell yours, get in touch with me. Thanks.
go to myxer download all the ringtones you want for free and when they come in set as ringtone no problem I have 25 or so
oops missed tonys comment
I am planing on buy this phone but i don’t know if I should anymore… but if there is anyone planing on selling there phone please let me know, because I can’t renew my contract till August and I don’t want to pay the full price for something I won’t like
why doesn’t my vista computer notice the Crush as a removable disc?
SD micro card is installed.
