Nokia’s N900 now available in the US

N900

Although initial reviews have concluded that it’s far from perfect, today marks the first day of availability of the Nokia N900 in the United States. Available through Nokia’s flagship stores in Chicago and New York City for $649 (as well as at nokiausa.com), the N900 has also been spotted on various online shops such as Amazon for a little over $500. At that price it’s all very tempting — especially if you’re a die hard Nseries fan that wants to get a glimpse of the future with this Maemo 5 business– but that’s a decision you’re going to have to make on your own.

Surprise, surprise, this nokia-communicator release is a little bit boastful but the question is “what’s the difference of it” between the Droid Release and iPhone.. err, except on the spelling? :D – Hopefully, the people who waited for this release won’t be turned down… Again.

So why does Nokia pull such bone head moves like not including both 900 and 1900 MHz with the radio? I mean they release a phone exclusive to AT&T and then act like they never heard of them when they release their first smartphone? Pretty dumb. This looks more like an unfinished pet project for the geeks at Nokia than a usable smartphone. Bummer, I was interested, but not anymore.
