Sprint HTC Hero now $99
We’ve been told now by a couple tipsters that the Sprint HTC Hero is now going for $99 with a 2-year agreement at Best Buy locations. No word on whether Sprint will end up discounting the device directly.

A wise man once said dont argue with Fools because from a distance u cant tell who is who And i dont want to be mistaken for a fuckin idiot so u won buddy ur right apple is the best
I never realized that apple fanboys were this pretentious!!!!!! (BTW this is posted from an iPhone) granted the droid is not as simple as the iPhone to use but nine out of ten of you are more than capable to use the droid and currently the droid is not the best in my opinion bit as soon as they root it and then flash comes out early next year I will jump ship to the milestone aka gsm iPhone for noobs(I work for AT&T and can’t leave them due to my discount) and will be importing it.
I meant gsm driod damn iPhone wouldn’t let me change it lol
@Igod,
You’re absolutely pathetic.

Try posting some on topic comments guys. Seriously, some constructive and informative stuff would be great. If you wanna talk shit why not IM or become friends in Myspace. You whiny bitches are ruining this site. Including, but not limited to; jdizzle, tdot, apple, stevenglansburg etc. For the record Superbad sucked. So go back to drawing dicks all day and let the rest if us comment appropriately.
Anyone verify this yet? is it the upgrade price as well?? I just bought one Nov. 1st and would love to get some $$$ back!
yea, I was just at Best Buy’s website and it said the Hero for Sprint was 99.00 now
only for new customers, those of us upgrading are stuck with the 179.99 price
I bought the HERO from a Best Buy in Chicago this past Thursday and snagged it for 99.00. It was listed at 179.99 but the girl at the store said she would price match it. Who she was price matching it against I don’t know, but didn’t care either. It’s a pretty darn good phone.
Was this for a contract renewal or are you a new customer? I want it for $99 as a renewal but not $180.

Man, I didn’t think my buyer’s remorse could get any worse. I signed up for a 2 year agreement with Sprint a month ago and paid full price for the Hero.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great phone, but had I known about it, I would’ve waited a little longer and gotten a Droid.
Now this news comes out that my phone has dropped in price $80? I could buy so many apps with that money.
I was debating between my local Sprint store and Best Buy, but the Sprint store was closer to my house so I have zero chance of trying to get that money back.
awesome. too bad for the samsung moment sales.
err, i guess moment is $99 too. nevermind
Droid is supposedly a good phone. iPhones are good phones. BlackBerrys are the best for email. WinMo is favored by some. Some people like Symbian. I happen to like Android.
Different strokes for different folks.
I want a phone from each Smartphone OS.
Each to their own!!!
its funny to see all these fanboys…..lol
I actually think its quite appalling that any company anywhere would offer a better deal for any item they sell to newer customers. All the while leaving their loyal customers to reconsider their current company. Its like they want to swap customers. If you offer hero for $99 to new customers only then currently customers at the end of contract will rather switch to get a better price from another company than be taken advantage of for being loyal to their current carrier.
Amen!
