I am on my 5th day with my droid and it has been a great experience.

Ill start by talking about multitasking. This device is amazing for multitasking I had about 6-7 apps downloading @ once yesterday and there was no problem. I could download and surf the web at the same time with great speed. It also allowed me to listen to music while doing anything else.

The sound quality of the phone is simple amazing. I couldnt imagine trading my amazing 3g and voice communications for piece of s*** AT&T. Not in this life time. The speaker on the phone is also amazing. My music plays loud and extremely clear. The best I have ever heard from a phone before.

The touch screen on the droid is simple amazing. It is easily the most responsive phone to ever hit verizon. I had a LG dare b4 this phone and it cant even compare. The screen on the droid is amazing. The color on pictures and video is great. The screen is simply a beast to all competitors.

As far as the OS goes it is definitely not a right out the box user friendly OS. But this is definitely not a downside, sometimes for greatness you have to put in a little time. I spent my first 2-3 hours getting to know the phone. After that you really learn to appreciate customization(something the Iphone does not have). After learning how the OS works it has been shocking me ever sense. The OS is also extremely fast. I love the notification bar at the top I never get interrupted by emails or txt messages or updates. Although they are all extremely easy to access.

As far as apps go I love the Android Market. It is fast and simple to use. The apps download in less than 30 secs. in most cases. There are also a lot of useful apps. One of my favorite apps is tv.com amazing app that lets you watch tv from your phone. Great CSI episodes. I would say the most useful app for me is the taskpanel. The droid runs all the opened apps in the background so it tends to put a hurtin on your battery. With the taskpanel I can easily kill all apps that are in the background to preserve my battery.

The keyboard on the droid has been a hot topic. I happen to think that keyboards really depend on what you are used to and the size of your hands. Me personally I am not a big fan of virtual keyboards so I needed a full qwerty. I love the droid keyboard. I do think that I could have done without the dpad because I hardly us it but all together the keypad is great. It locks in really tight and is really built well. the keys are easy for me to use but like I said it would depend on you.

All together I think my upgrade to the droid was a great choice. There are some downfalls to getting a early version but I am sure that there will be updates coming soon to fix a couple of the problems that come with new software. Besides that this phone has delivered everything I could ask for. I hope yall give it a chance once you touch it you will fall in love.

It is cheaper there, by why not just go to Lets Talk directly? Thats who they do it through. That way you can avoid Walsuck.

Wow, What is up with the comments on theses sites? BGR, Engadget and Gizmodo all seem to be attracting the most lowlife comments I’ve seen since Youtube. What’s up with that?

Amen, brother. I love BGR for its industry intel, but this “my phone/carrier/OS can beat up your father’s” noise gets tired fast.
