There are so many twitter clients for Iphone. You guys are so selfish. Android I understand but come on. We BB finally get some love and you are resentful? Go back to your appstore and download some happiness.

Everytime I back out of the TweetGenius application it freezes my Blackberry for about 8 seconds and shows the small square black clock … It seems to slow down performance overall. But just for a short period of time. Is this normal?

    Thanks

1st it took a while to get the buy it link to work Now I got that to work. I’ve paid my 6.99 for the app or 7.99 whichever and I still don’t have it. I can’t get an OTA link to work. The ones on Beejive/tweetgenius are not pulling up the download. All I wani is a direct link to the OTA download my email is Edsall.Ryan@gmail.com if anyone can help me.

So there isn’t even a free trial. That sucks. Even the Beejive IM client gives you 30 days. I know TweetGenius is SUPPOSED to be great but there are a ton of free twitter clients for Blackberry. Not that they can’t or shouldn’t charge for theirs but at least let me give it try before spending money on it. What if I don’t like it? Could I get a refund? I’m just sayin’…

You guys shouldn’t be complaining, BGR built this from ground up. He created an iPhone app but I think he discarded the project.

I love it but the only problem is every time theres a new tweet, it shows the logo at the top of my phone. I don’t need an notification for every tweet, does anyone know how to take that off?

Change your browser configuration to firefox or internet explorer and then every thing looks normal on the berry.

Almost perfect. One more change. The ability for notification of a new tweet. Other than that it is the second bext client out there. Once they add new tweet nitification I’ll forgoe Ubertwitter!!!

For starters, the UI is really nice to look at, probably attracting non-Twitter users to even sign up !

But, but, but here’s the bad part, which of course is part of every other app, however good the dev maybe:

I know you guys have worked your asses off on this one, but I’m sorry to say, I can’t describe how bad the app is right now. uberTwitter’s got a lot more to offer, for a 5$ price tag. TweetGenius doesn’t support cell tower tracking, just buzzes the phone when I’m trying to attach a photo, takes forever to load when I try to enlarge a TwitPic image. You guys need to improve soon, no one’s gonna fall prey to this shit :/ Chews up on all the RAM my 8900 has to offer, hope that gets a fix real soon

I really hope you guys take the criticism constructively ! I really love the way the animations work though :) You’ve got together the slickest of UIs, I bet some better coding will do much better for you guys :)

    Cheers !

Only one thing I don’t like about it… In UberTwitter, you could reply to all if there was more than one name in a Tweet. I can’t seem to find a way to do this with Tweet Genius. Am I mistaken?

    Thanks.

By the way, I had no problems ordering, nor downloading over the air with my browser set to the default BlackBerry setting. Just a FYI.

Right now, its a terrible app…Needs tons of polishing. TONS!!! Ubertwitter is way better. But, I could totally see me leaving UT for TweetGenius. The UI is Slick, the Animations are awesome. I love that it has Twitpic integration, which is my service choice for uploading pics to twitter.

Just needs polishing, flick scrolling to go with the rest of 5.0, gps of some sort, reply all feature, if you send a tweet with more than 160 characters should automatically truncate the tweet and still send, pain in the ass to have to delete retweets, before sending, memory leaks are out of control, shouldnt have to go into landscape to view options. Hope these updates come fast. Definitely not worth 7.99 right now.

    btw, I use a 9530.

    Thanks

Love the design…makes it more enjoyable to read. The only two issues I’ve found with it is:

    1. When I try to tweet a picture from the picture folder, it won’t execute. Can’t “tweet picture with tweetgenius.”. Goes to the front tg screen and stops.
    2. It’s a resource hog. I check tweets often, but it’s eating memory at a higher rate than ubertwitter.

Using tweetgenius to read, ubertwitter for everything else.

Ifinally got it downloaded on my storm 9530 after I paid. Looks cool but it cut processing time on everything 50%. Ended up un-installing.Iwant to use it but can’t take how much it slowed down my storm1. The new 5.0 OS IS GREAT BUT this app really slows it down.

I just purchased this… Got my confirmation email, downloaded the appropriate one for my OS, installed and all that. I go to launch, and I keep getting an IMMEDIATE ‘PIN’ is not authorized. And yes, before you ask, I put in the correct PIN when ordering.

Please help… Not trying to waste money.
