Correction, interestinglyinteresting, I'm a current customer whose needs change from time to time. I'm not asking for more or for cheaper service, I just don't like being raped by a company when I need a new phone or when I need more minutes than I have now. It just seems stupid that as an existing customer who needs a new phone will pay $10-20 more b/c the price of add ons on T-Mo got more expensive. The bottom line is if I stay with T-Mo & switch to an Android phone I will be paying more money over 2 years than if I switch to Sprint and buy an Android phone. That takes into account the fact that Sprint's Android phones are more expensive.

lol youre one of the customers who already gets service at much cheaper rates and still wants more , its like another poster said, you wouldnt care if tmobile existed if you could get your services for free. Seriously.....if you dont need the extra services dont get them...these new plans are aimed at new customers since the old ones already have cheap rates and yet they want more for less? try going to att with your current plan and they will laugh in your face when you tell them you want the same rate plan etc that tmobile currently gives you.....and yes, I dare say it..go head and walk into one of their stores (I have a few friends who jumped to att and those other companies I used to work with who would tell you the same thing) you know why? because whether you like it or not youre already raping a company for service even if its just myfaves. sure you could do the friends and family they offer you at att or verizon but what happens if you need a 3rd line? tough luck, you will have to share your 10 with everyone else where as the plan youre on now if you add another line you will still get your extra 5 per line and reap the low cost benefits, att or verizon would probably rape you for your money at that point. Btw your add is granfathered also for a while tmobile hasnt offered the 20 dollar addons for bb's so in effect even before the EMP+ you were saving at least 10 dollars a month over a new customer transatling to 120 a year and 240 over a 2 year contract.

Wow, sarahrma, you sound like a true T-Mo fan! Or should I say 'fanboy.' The truth is the Even More Plus plans aren't cheaper at all for some people. My wife and I are on a 700 MyFaves right now with $20 add ons per phone for Blackberry data. Total cost b4 taxes = $120 With the Even More+ we would actually need more minutes since we wouldn't get to keep our Faves & our only option would be the $120 plan with 1500 minutes. Hmmm...looks like sixes to me except it wouldn't be worth it to pay the migration fee.

I think its hilarious that people have so much to say when they have no idea. If you haven't extended your contract since the launch of the plans (25th of october) you are qualified for the EVEN MORE PLUS (no contract) plans. There is a $35 dollar migration fee for existing customers to move to this plan but with all the money you save you will make that up in a couple months. Also, I think its funny that people talk so much shit about the coverage. I bet most of you didn't know that they won the JD power award for number one in 3G coverage on the west coast. Its funny how much advertising on tv effect what people think they know. I would also much rather be with a company with awesome customer service than a shitty carrier like AT&T or Spring where they treat you like ur just another sheep.

I highly doubt that savannah georgia would be a super busy place now would it? I read one of the forums saying savannah knew what this whole thing was because it was test marketed there along with the new 20 month EIP and their traffic increased around 80%, may have been 90* id have to check again to have an exact figure but the change in traffic was overwhelming on just word of mouth alone. This is aimed more towards ATT Iphone or smart phone users, Verizon users, if not people who are from cricket metro etc to entice them to come to tmobile and have the option of now buying a phone in a 20 month installment rather than pay it all at once with a better network and customer service. I find usually imo exp that people from these carriers dont mind the pricing so much as they do two things, unlimited calling and be strained on carriers wireless minutes and the contract side to get a decent phone the day of purchase.

interestinglyinteresting Said:\
"the idea is this: t-mobile did it’s research and found out that most customers don’t want contracts. these plans were first tested in a market in georgia and 90% of all the customers chose the no contract even more plus plans. and, with no advertising whatsoever, the traffic in those store rose 40% in just a few days simply from word of mouth."

This is bunk research! Obviously your store was busier, you have Metro PCS/Cricket/Boost customers who are credit challenged, who cannot get on Verizon or AT&T. The problem is how many of these customers you sign up will stay even a year? I don't know, people cant even pay a $50 bill how will they pay $79+tax. The reason why these people are credit challenged is that they don't pay their bills.

LOL. I am thinking they want to entice people to come to tmobile with this, rather than intrigue those of us who already have it. But I will say, I bet if you called to complain, they would give you the same deal since you are a loyal customer.

actually the figure was higher than 40 percent but some of us actually respect the companies policies and confidentiality agreements unlike other posters on here who are probably the ones ready to defect to other carriers and think they are special once they know something other people shouldn't know its people like you that ruin big announcements and by the way thanks for potentially leaking confidential company information for your selfish 15 minutes of fame (if your leaks are even true to begin with). Anyways referring to every person that has been posting on here comparing the two different images pricing isn't what it shows there, check the links where it shows the 140 pricing for a family plan on everything plus...seriously must it be bolded out to you? you do realize that those two pictures are comparing contracted rate plans with non contract rate plan right? so to put it in plain ENGLISH you are comparing a everything plus rate plan and a everything rate plan in those pictures, and yeah ill agree this place is filled with sprint employees and Iphone hoo hahs who cant justify having a good network and paying less, must make you feel all warm and cozy spending all that extra money on your Iphones huh? seriously. We know you get paid to give out mis information but seriously, not everyone of us is "dumb" like you think since you are probably getting paid pennies for the hour working in your India desk jobs for mediocre customer service and I will tell you because I've had Sprints service for the past 2 years and found it to be sub par with t mobiles coverage up in northern California in the Modesto/Stockton area, not that im totally innocent either as I work at one of the big 4 ()=) oh and by the way, that 140 price on there seems to include bis and smart phone data for those of you who cant take the time to check the links, so you would be paying 140 for two smart phones and unlimited calling (to any network even landlines, "including text messaging"). If you're on that at the moment with two smart phones on a comparable loyalty plan heres what it would look like: 89.99 (unlimited calling two lines) + 35 (unlimited texting and web on line 1) and + 35 (unlimited texting and web on line 2) so you would be looking at a grand total of 159.99 a month for a comparable two line data at this point (with loyalty) and without a contract, granted you still need to buy your phones but like they said underneath, this seems to be aimed more towards Verizon and Att customers more than T mobile customers, besides, why should you get better pricing when for example on a My touch that you're paying 149.99 and the phone is originally 499.99 (retail). Tmobile is giving you a 350.00 discount right off the bat and thats money that they can only get back if you actually pay for your services which I bet a'lot of the people here who are complaining are the defectors who cost these carriers money which slows down network ugrades etc when they decide to terminate service and go elsewhere because they cant pay their bill or also the ones who usually forget and pay after their service gets suspended for non payment. It's only fitting that people that buy their phones outright would get better pricing since at that point they are not obligated to stay with T mobile if they don't want to. On the network issue, T mos network is only a software upgrade away from being LTE with minor modifications to their towers... T mobile thought ahead when they decided to use nokia equipment on their towers which allows them to do this. HSDPA + will be beneficial because it wont require you to get another phone when it rolls out like LTE will, you wont get the speeds like LTE will eventually offer but you will get better speeds than sprint's mediocre wimax 4G will and around the same time frame.. Well anyways story of my life, there's my 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 25 c's for you. Anyone who seriously posts anything that doesnt regard to what was just posted and whines about how sprints pricing is better is either going to be A: a sprint employee making minimum wage in India getting paid to distort information to help a already failing company B: a Iphone yahoo who thinks hes on top of the world with his Unixed based Iphone (which i'm sure they will also believe Steve Jobs when he says he created that and put water on earth) or C: the ignorant red neck who 1) doesn't pay their bill on time and any plan is too expensive no matter the cost and 2) always comes into the stores whether the house phone cable or cell company complaining about how his or her service was disconnected even though they are 2 or 3 and probably 4 months past due.

ciao ciao and tah tah for now...

(I agree with this poster whole heartedly)

the idea is this: t-mobile did it’s research and found out that most customers don’t want contracts. these plans were first tested in a market in georgia and 90% of all the customers chose the no contract even more plus plans. and, with no advertising whatsoever, the traffic in those store rose 40% in just a few days simply from word of mouth.

now, granted, you have to pay full price for the phone on the even more plus plans, but what other company is going to allow you to pay off you’re phone over a 20 month installment plan?

also, those leaked images don’t include everything–there’s more to the big picture. (and yes, you can add more than just two lines to the family plan.)

keep in mind also, customers will still be able to take advantage of all student and corporate discounts ranging from 12-15% off their total monthly recurring charges. and by the way–did anyone happen to notice that you can get two completely unlimited lines for $139.99 a month with the even more plus plans? that’s a huge savings considering thats how much one line cost unlimited at the other major carriers.

point in case, even though these prices aren’t as low as we all once thought, they still are low enough for t-mobile to continue being the value leader. there’s no reason why t-mobile can’t climb the ladder of the big four with these prices and phones; especially considering all of the negative feedback most people have about sprint and at&t’s coverage issues and poor customer service.

no company is perfect, but i think it’s small of most of you guys and gals to automatically jump at t-mobile’s throat without any clear validation.

and just some food for thought: what if no one ever mentioned a “$50 all you can eat” plan? would we be ranting and complaining then at these new plans? probably not.

and .....

an example of the brainwashed ignorant red neck that pays too much for his phone bill (I phone or Verizon user) and believes anything that is fed to him (I phone / Steve Jobs Worshippers that think he created and put water on the earth and probably invented light too)

-------------------------------------------
So the difference between the Unlimited Indivual plans and the Unlimited Family plans is double the price for the family plans, except when you get to the Unlimited (voice/text/web) which is an extra $10?? wtf??

Individual

Unlmited Talk – $50
Unlimited Talk + Unlimited Text – $60 Unlimited Talk +Unlimited Text + Unlimited Web – $80

Family

Unlimited Minutes – $100
Unlimited Talk + Unlimited Text – $120 Unlimited Talk + Unlimited Text + Unlimited Web – $180 ?? (this should be $160 wtf)

actually the figure was higher than 40 percent but some of us actually respect the companies policies and confidentiality agreements unlike other posters on here who are probably the ones ready to defect to other carriers and think they are special once they know something other people shouldn’t know its people like you that ruin big announcements and by the way thanks for potentially leaking confidential company information for your selfish 15 minutes of fame (if your leaks are even true to begin with). Anyways referring to every person that has been posting on here comparing the two different images pricing isn’t what it shows there, check the links where it shows the 140 pricing for a family plan on everything plus…seriously must it be bolded out to you? you do realize that those two pictures are comparing contracted rate plans with non contract rate plan right? so to put it in plain ENGLISH you are comparing a everything plus rate plan and a everything rate plan in those pictures, and yeah ill agree this place is filled with sprint employees and Iphone hoo hahs who cant justify having a good network and paying less, must make you feel all warm and cozy spending all that extra money on your Iphones huh? seriously. We know you get paid to give out mis information but seriously, not everyone of us is “dumb” like you think since you are probably getting paid pennies for the hour working in your India desk jobs for mediocre customer service and I will tell you because I’ve had Sprints service for the past 2 years and found it to be sub par with t mobiles coverage up in northern California in the Modesto/Stockton area, not that im totally innocent either as I work at one of the big 4 ()=) oh and by the way, that 140 price on there seems to include bis and smart phone data for those of you who cant take the time to check the links, so you would be paying 140 for two smart phones and unlimited calling (to any network even landlines, “including text messaging”). If you’re on that at the moment with two smart phones on a comparable loyalty plan heres what it would look like: 89.99 (unlimited calling two lines) + 35 (unlimited texting and web on line 1) and + 35 (unlimited texting and web on line 2) so you would be looking at a grand total of 159.99 a month for a comparable two line data at this point (with loyalty) and without a contract, granted you still need to buy your phones but like they said underneath, this seems to be aimed more towards Verizon and Att customers more than T mobile customers, besides, why should you get better pricing when for example on a My touch that you’re paying 149.99 and the phone is originally 499.99 (retail). Tmobile is giving you a 350.00 discount right off the bat and thats money that they can only get back if you actually pay for your services which I bet a’lot of the people here who are complaining are the defectors who cost these carriers money which slows down network ugrades etc when they decide to terminate service and go elsewhere because they cant pay their bill or also the ones who usually forget and pay after their service gets suspended for non payment. It’s only fitting that people that buy their phones outright would get better pricing since at that point they are not obligated to stay with T mobile if they don’t want to. On the network issue, T mos network is only a software upgrade away from being LTE with minor modifications to their towers… T mobile thought ahead when they decided to use nokia equipment on their towers which allows them to do this. HSDPA + will be beneficial because it wont require you to get another phone when it rolls out like LTE will, you wont get the speeds like LTE will eventually offer but you will get better speeds than sprint’s mediocre wimax 4G will and around the same time frame.. Well anyways story of my life, there’s my 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 25 c’s for you. Anyone who seriously posts anything that doesnt regard to what was just posted and whines about how sprints pricing is better is either going to be A: a sprint employee making minimum wage in India getting paid to distort information to help a already failing company B: a Iphone yahoo who thinks hes on top of the world with his Unixed based Iphone (which i’m sure they will also believe Steve Jobs when he says he created that and put water on earth) or C: the ignorant red neck who 1) doesn’t pay their bill on time and any plan is too expensive no matter the cost and 2) always comes into the stores whether the house phone cable or cell company complaining about how his or her service was disconnected even though they are 2 or 3 and probably 4 months past due.

ciao ciao and tah tah for now…

How is T-Mobile going to handle this paying over 20 months for a phone on Flex Pay? If there is no contract, then T-Mobile will still have to do some sort of credit check etc to offer this deal? I dont understand how this really helps, since Cricket/Metro PCS/Boost are dealing with credit challenged customer.

Plus, why wouldnt people want to sign a contract? As long as the termination fee < the amount of subsidization of the phone, then it makes sense to sign the contract, and pay the termination. Plus, most companies offer a $5.00 discount every month you keep the contract.

Tmobile (in DC):

-Delayed/dropped texts
-Missed calls
-No signal while Verizon people next to me are talking/browsing away.

BUT customer service is ridiculously friendly.

$15 a month more for Verizon, where I can get full use of my phone ANYWHERE? Done.

One more thing: Regardless of the cost, T-Mobile's customer service is actually good. I dread the day when I have to deal with AT&T or Verizon or Comcast. Can't speak for Sprint; never had to use them. But T-Mobile's customer service people have always been responsive and helpful to me. They really oughta' market their superb customer service as a selling point. Do a study on it, compare it to others; something.

On a grandfathered plan, I'm paying $79/mo. for 1500 minutes + $35/mo. for unlimited Internet, texting, etc., per phone. Total for 2 phones is $149/mo., or $10 +less+ than their new plan. So it looks like a price jump to me. I'm also using Google Voice, so I end up rarely using any of my minutes. Am I missing something here?

@TmoTechGuy---Sorry, plenty of people have the plan prices. Third party dealers have already received new brochures and new store posters via UPS straight from T-Mobileand they match exactly what has been posted already. All plan pricing is known. If you know something different, say it. You won't, because there is no more to project dark than what is already known.

People...please stop posting this total BS. The details of this plan will not be released until the 25th.....and that includes retail locations. Please stop creating fake price plans and throwing T-Mo's name on it. BGR....you are better than posting this total BS. Nobody....let me repeat that....NOBODY has the full details of this plan....not even T-Mo employees. Wait till the 25th....and see what Dark is all about.

hmm..There 500min/unlimited text and web for 60..AT&T offers 450 min/unlimited text and web with rollover minutes and better coverage for 9 bucks more.. and there family plan of 750 mins/unlimted text n web is 140? AT&T is only 119.99 for 700mins/unlimited text n web..you could get our 1400 min with unlimited text n web for 139.99. T-mobiles unlimited everything plan is good but coverage "washington state" Is horrible!! So should you pay alittle more to be able to actually use your phone? or save and have no use for it. It's up to you!

I spent over 10 years with T-Mobile as an account manager in Business Sales. I spoke with a former colleague who had his Project Dark training today. He said that this is a desperate move by T-Mobile to stop the bleeding and I had to agree with him. T-Mobile used to be an innovative company with several unique products and services. Now it is a company that can only obtain and keep customers by being the cheapest wireless service provider around. Project Dark is aimed at the consumer market. T-Mobile management knows that they can no longer compete with AT&T, Verizon or even Sprint/Nextel for the larger business entity and have decided to stop tying. The last advantage T-Mobile had to get larger business customers was the Enterprise Pooling Plans and those are being eliminated next week. Only customers that currently have those plans will be allowed to have them.

This was disappointing to say the least. I was hoping to leave CDMA behind and go back to a GSM network.

But I put a Sprint branded Smartphone on Boost's Unlimited CDMA plan and I pay $52 a month for unlimited talk, text, and web.

Before you call me a retard for saying boost unlimited is CDMA and not IDEN you should probably look up the fact that Boost's unlimited plan, when first introduced piggy-backed on Sprints CDMA network and thus, half the unlimited customers are on CDMA and the new customers are on IDEN...everyone who's anyone already knew that but just in case.

@ItsMichaelNotMike, well it sounds like you've acquired a pretty good plan as it is. As bad as these plans sound, I can almost guarantee T-Mobile will be making tweaks and changes to them when they don't take off right away. When that happens, there may be other opportunities for long term customers like you and I to get some deals. In the meantime, you should return to the tmonews forums---the moderator was actually criticizing another poster, not yourself. Cheers. :-)

They aren't showing everything on here. Both Family plans and Individual plans can choose Contract or No Contract. the only difference is with Contract you get a phone discount, with No Contract you have to pay full price or get your own phone.

Do the new plans come with the same bonus features as previous plans - you know, the ones where T-Mobile loses all their customer database, including full name, address, phone numbers and payment information, to hackers? And does it also come with a guarantee an "executive will have a laptop stolen" with all their customer's credit card numbers just like they used to? Not sure why execs are carrying laptops with customer credit card info on them but hey, nice bonus feature, T-mobe!
