Try playing a bluray movie. works fine under Windows7 on the iMac under bootcamp, but OSx is totally unable to play them

Just got the magic mouse and I am really liking it. Feel like I am finger swiping on my Iphone. I also like that way it does forward and backward on my browser.

For me, size matters & the 27″ monitor with 1 TB hard drive is way, way to big.

The smaller 21.5″ is more to my liking in terms of size, weight, power requirements, & price.

SMALLER is a better value for my dollars spent.

I made the switch about two years ago and I absolutely love it. My Mac is the BEST machine I have ever had. I have not found one thing that I can’t do on my iMac that I could do on a Windows box.

I love my IMac at home, but I still maintain a Windows based laptop. Which one do I prefer? Definitely the Mac. Just upgraded to Windows 7 and its looking more like the Mac and have to admit more stability too. You don’t have to convert all the way. If you can, get both and know the difference.

Maybe have another read at the mini before speaking – 2.26 or 2.66Gb processor; up to 4 megs ram; nvidia graphics; 160Gb HD up to 500Gb available; 5 USB ports – major improvements all around.

My original PC cost $1,500 in 2002 then it was upgraded for about $500 in 2006.

The Macbook cost me $1,100 2 years ago thanks to a $300 discount.

It’s tough to compare prices with so many of these things outdated now. But the Macbook is smooth right now.

Yeah, quite a few small to middle size IT companies ditched blade servers and built their own Mac mini farms, which still is a bizarre sight to behold.

@Andrew, you’ve missed on mark on the Mini – the new server variant. Take a Mini, ditch the Superdrive (which I’d never use) and replace it with a HD, and add in OS X Server. I was looking at one of these just a few days ago and held off when I read about a rumored refresh – the Mini Server is a steal for me as a file, data, and resource server, and about $350 less coin than I was looking to spend just a few days ago.

The writer needs to re-read the specs for the MacBook and Mac mini.

The new MacBook has a 2.26GHz processor, not 2.13 GHz. FYI, the old one already had the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics.

The old mini also already had NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. The new one has received a sizable processor bump to either 2.26GHz or 2.53GHz, up from a standard 2GHz.

There’s also a new Mac mini server configuration, which isn’t even mentioned here.

Really, did the writer even try, at all to comprehend the new specs?

How much did you pay for your PC? I’m not an apple fanboy, probably a hater, but I’m definitely underwhelmed by the announcements. Thought I might actually pick up a new Mac for development on iPhone, and realize I’m better off just buying a Psystar

I gotta say, now that I’ve hooked my Macbook up to a 23 inch LCD monitor and added wireless keyboard and mouse, I’m starting to really get use out of it. My 2-year old Macbook is making my 3-year old PC look like garbage.

Anyway, I’m glad the MacBook isn’t as fat as before (my three-yr old VAIO is still thinner and lighter, come on!). However, making everything with beleved edges only serves to accentuate obesity. I hate it.

I like the look of the mouse, but for all they did with moultitouch why the heck did they live out pinch zoom? That’s the one I use the most besides scrolling on my MBP. Seriously.
