Bell’s HSPA handset launch list leaks: BlackBerry 9700, iPhone 3GS, Samsung Omnia 2, more

We just got a heads up from one of our Northern connects that has to do with Bell, and let’s just say we think Bell subscribers are going to be thrilled with what we have to report. How does Bell’s entire lineup of devices for their HSPA network launch sound? We also grabbed pricing for y’all, too! The following prices are prices with 36 month contracts following by full retail pricing.
Thanks, J!

Samsung Omnia 2: $349.95, $549.95
Apple iPhone 3G 8GB $399.95, $599.95 — probably $149 after in store rebates
Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB: $499.95, $699.95 — probably $199 after in store rebates
Apple iPhone 3GS 32GB: $599.95, $799.95 — probably $299 after in store rebates

Nokia 6350: $49.95, $249.95
There’s also 3 Novatel HSPA data cards launching, two will be HSPA+ 21Mbps compatible and one will be HSPA 7.2Mbps compatible.

What happened to the S2??
That is very discouraging news.
But I’m still glad to see the 9700 there, even though at 250 i think it’s a bit high. (I paid 250 for my Storm 1 and kinda regret paying so much when I could’ve waited just a month and gotten it for $200 easily)
Steve, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? First, the iPhone launches at Rogers, and the data plans awful. And now this? It’s 199/299 at rogers! You should have made your agreements with carriers better. This is so embarrassing that were doing this to the iPhone. I shouldnt blame this on Steve, but come on Apple and Carriers, this is the iPhone, make the customers want the phone! I thought they said it was max 199/299 in all countries.
Does anyone know when Telus will be getting the Blackberry 9700?
Canada in general is on “Crack” with their prices and their data. Not to mention the 3yr contract. WTF?? I mean damn, am I buying a car or smartphone??? Ridiculous!!!
The pricing posted for the iPhone’s and the BB’s does not include the (most likely) $200 data credit you will receive for adding a data plan. On most Bell handsets, you receive $200 activation credit for a new 36m agreement PLUS an additional $200 for adding a data plan.
excuse me? If you don’t want to read this post, then don’t, we don’t need you saying that garbage in here, watch the big mouth, eh?
Any word on WIND right now, more concrete than we’ve heard I mean. I live in Michigan but I go to Canada Often and it’d be Awesome to use my T-Mobile AWS band while I”m there!
no android?
Awesome line up to launch a network with! Bell did an amazing job getting this together.
As for Canadian pricing – Bell will give you unlimited text, internet, email, call display and voicemail for $45.. thats not a bad deal.
@Dude – these are the HSPA only phones. Storm 2 still might be in the CDMA flavour
Whoa, you Canadians get shafted.
$599.95 for the 3GS 32GB and you pay around $100 pm for 36 months!!, service costs about $30p, which means your paying $70pm for the phone.
So your paying $2500 for a phone that costs $799.95 retail, $400 wholesale. Man… that sucks.
ya no kidding
Are any of the prices non contract.
No, no Android until December 10th(tentatively) with the Samsung Galaxy.

Woah woah woah, this is Canadian prices, right? Damn… I really need to learn the exchange rate.
Yea Welcome to Canada Boys. We no how to make money But we just get shafted when we spend it.
The pricing for the iphone is manufacture determined and the carriers have to sign a corporate agreement confirming that the subsidized (MSRP) price on a contract term will remain untouched otherwise they are not able to carry the phone.
Its not your carrier its your beloved Apple and the Almighty Apple Tax.
When wind comes I am going to re-nogotiate my contract with Bell. I don’t mind paying four hundred bucks considering I spend that in a couple of months with them. Apparently Wind will also be getting the Blackberry (ex) Onyx 9700.
the price it’s all going down this month
Relax people. This is internal memos not meant for the public’s eyes. The price that you all saw is only including the 200$ agreement rebate, what is not released yet is the Data plan rebates. Most likely 200$ on top of the first 200$. and on some cases, some equipment even comes with LTO credits (limited time offer) you will not have to pay 599$ for the Iphone 3gs on a 36 mo term. I can assure you.
Hello i was wonder if most of these phone are going to out next’s mouth, cause ive been check bell store every week about the iphone, they keep tell me that it comes out december but i really dont want to wait tht long. Do you think one of you guy think it will be coming for Alberta?
Ok one thing people have to remember about Canadian pricing…we make 10$ an hour minimum wage and america is like 5.50$ an hour. We also get free health care and usually free drugs…the average household income in canada is $50,000 for 2 ppl and in america it is $22,000 so shut up suck it up and be quiet im sick of canadians complaining..Think of it this way the Countries that are closest to us in wages is Germany and Austria. From my research they pay about the same for cell phones/ service and cars just like us, The more the average household income is the more the products in that country are duhhhhh thats a no brainer.
what are you talking about it, nothing is free. We get taxed heavy for it.
Does anyone know if Bell/Telus 3G services be offered on the 850Mhz GSM frequencies??
