HTC HD2 looks T-Mobile bound

tmo-htc-hd2

T-Mobile users that have grown accustomed to nothing but boring handsets might want to have a change of underwear on standby before reading any more, because it looks as if Magenta is actually going to offer a a handset of lust-worthy proportions.. According to TmoNews, its carrier namesake will offer the Snapdragon-powered HTC HD2 sometime in the near future, although it does not appear to be a part of Project Dark. We’re going to go and hit up some of our T-Mobile connects to see what they have to say on the matter, but in the meantime we suggest that those of you who are into it start praying that T-Mobile doesn’t ask for silly money if and/when it launches the HD2.

Thanks to everyone that send this in!

I’m taking bets how many sidekick users jump to this phone. I’m saying less than 1%.

What?!? It doesn’t come in pink with rhinestones? Whatever…

I’m just glad AT&T wants to keep blowing Apple. All the good devices are going over to T-Mobile while AT&T rides the iPhone.

4.3 inch is too big. How will it fit in my pocket, comfortably?

It’s, what, 5 mm thicker than the iPhone? HD2 has no bezel… do your homework :P

at&t network is so trash. My cousin was testing his 3G speeds on the iphone and got 1mb then i tested mine on a G1 and got 1.5mb. Plus i always hear about people watning to leave at&t because of the poor voice quality and spotty 3G. I might not get this phone but they picked the right carrier to release it under.

Don’t worry it will fit in your pocket just fine….because you will have had to empty your pockets to come up with the $$$ to pay for the thing. If you thought T-mobile overpriced the TP2 then you ain’t seen nothing yet.

It’s funny a couple of people are talking about T-mobile being a trashy network..ha ha we’ll see about that when we’re rocking 21pbps later this year and you guys barely get service on your iPhones and etc..

If you look at AT&T’s lineup, they haven’t had a real hit since the iPhone. Their network is spotty and is so unreliable. At least once a month, the network goes down in Houston and no emails can be sent/received on the blackberry. If I were an IT manager, I’d put my company’s cell contract elsewhere and save money and hassle.

Speaking of Project Black/Dark/Noir, weren’t all the T-Mob managers going to get trained on Tuesday? And not a single one leaked?

5mm thinker than iphone? I am talking about screen size. 4.3 is quiet big to fit in regular pocket. It will not be very comfortable.

Can TMO-USA subscribers even afford the HD2? This is a sad day. It’s not like people are going to run to TMO because of this phone. It will sit there, wasting away, ageing, with few users…*sigh*

    @Mercado,

Or they could just go to Verizon.. A business choosing T-Mobile over att for network reliability is just laughable. Sprint and Verizon are the true business champs!

We’ll see who’s laughing when T-mobile turns on the HSPA+ soon. Then Verizon and AT&T will be left behind. That’s why Tmo is slow on 3G right now, their working and going to release HSPA+ after their OCT.25th announcement. And let’s not forget how bad Verizon and AT&T gouges you on you monthly service. True your phones may be cheaper up front, but get ready to get bent-over with your monthly bill for 2 yrs.

I’m starting to call bs, as 1. Why would they put engaged with in parentheses instead of just using one phrase or the other. And 2. They spelled capacitative wrong. As much as I want to believe this, it just doesn’t seem right to me

    What a bunch of haters…LOL
I have the unfortunate pleasure of carrying around my ATT Blackberry for work and a MyTouch for personal use. Been doing it for years, and I can honestly say that in this major market (Tampa), ATT absolutely blows chunks… Also recently drove to NY on vacation, and guess what? No bars in more places blew chunks on the trip too!

I have been with VZW for 12 years. They have never had a top of the line phone and it is looking like they never will. We have two choices, a good network and a crappy phone or a crappy network and an awesome phone. I think Verizon is a little too smug in their position and they are going to start losing customers. They are losing me.
