T-Mobile USA releases official statement on Sidekick outage, $100 gift card

There’s not too much to say so we’ll let T-Mobile do the talking…
Dear valued T-Mobile Sidekick customers:
We are thankful for your continued patience as Microsoft/Danger continues to work on preserving platform stability and restoring all services for our Sidekick customers. We have made significant progress this past weekend, restoring services to virtually every customer. Microsoft/Danger has teams of experts in place who are working around-the-clock to ensure this stability is maintained.
Regarding those of you who have lost personal content, T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger continue to do all we can to recover and return any lost information. Recent efforts indicate the prospects of recovering some lost content may now be possible. We will continue to keep you updated on this front; we know how important this is to you.
In the event certain customers have experienced a significant and permanent loss of personal content, T-Mobile will be sending these customers a $100 customer appreciation card. This will be in addition to the free month of data service that already went to Sidekick data customers. This card can be used towards T-Mobile products and services, or a customer’s T-Mobile bill. For those who fall into this category, details will be sent out in the next 14 days – there is no action needed on the part of these customers. We however remain hopeful that for the majority of our customers, personal content can be recovered.
Sidekick customers can continue to visit T-Mobile Sidekick Forums (http://www.t-mobile.com/sidekick) on a regular basis to access the latest updates, as well as FAQs regarding this service disruption. The Forums also offers tips and suggestions for rebuilding content on your device.

Id be applying that toward a BlackBerry upgrade, or the ETF, whichever T-Mobile decides to help me out with.
I dont have T-Mobile, I have Sprint… But Im just saying.
Good effort on tmo’s part. Kudos to tmo for trying to kiss and makeup.
*giggles*
Maybe its time to retire the old Sidekick brand in general and stop using cloud computing as the only source of data storage?
So prepaid users are SOL????
i am one of those people who lost all their information. how do i get the $100?
So how do they know if you lost your data or not. Or is every person getting a $100 gift card?
I said to hell with it and got a touch pro 2 from sprint. gotta love that 3.5mm headphone jack.
T-Mobile is for losers with bad credit. Instead of accpeting a $100 GC, why not decide to do better in life. To all the loyal T-Mobile customers: Mountain Dew should not be your first drink of the day, a sub 700 credit score means you’re probably a loser, and yes, you really are supposed to leave mom’s basement eventually. Cheers.
@Perspective,
People like you are the reason aliens won’t interact with us.
So low on the universal food chain.
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
Wow, What a closed minded remark makes me wonder where one got there people skills from…. Makes you think
hey perspective, did you type that on your mom’s phone? well im typing this on hers cause she just blew me.
theres something called the economy which tanked. people dont have credit scores because they are losers, we have below 700 credit scores because we lost jobs, the housing market tanked, and your mom stopped putting out…
@Perspective
A sub 700 credit score makes you a loser?!?!? I bought a nice house with a good rate on my sub 700 credit score. I don’t know what world you live in my friend.
correction perspective,
the economy is getting better because your mom started doing gamgb*angs again
I think just about everyone has a sub 700 credit score, but who really gives a crap.
The most overused phrase “in this economy” – people are more likely to select some type of cheap mobile service. Why not it be T-Mobile?
Haha, Perspective’s comment gave me a good laugh. I need someone to laugh at every now and then.
Perspective,
Actually the carrier that usually gets losers with bad credit goes to are Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile & Metro PCS.
T-Mobile gets some losers with bad credit, but mostly cheap ass people with so-so credit who wants everything for free.
So I guess all of us who are college grads, home owners, and who have had Tmo for years (since Powertel) don’t count? Go sit in the corner and play with your phone…Oh and thank your mother for me, cheers!
Hey Perspective how did you get here? I thought i shot the load in your mom’s mouth….
Does this apply to pre paid also
FTW! – Cricket wireless all the way!?!
actually sprint has been the biggest carrier to get people with shitty credit.. there max deposit was 125 for years no matter what there credit score was .. ur a doosh bag dude.. and ur dumb too
be careful of accepting the $100…you may be releasing tmo from any further liability.
I say don’t accept the $100 gift card Class Action suit for users whose data will never be recovered and no ETF for leaving TMO
Class action suit tmo and danger
They trying to push everyone over to my touch phone
