Dell Adamo XPS gets thinner, borders being two-dimensional
A few things come to mind when we see a computer thinner than most mobile phones, including the iPhone. For instance, what could this thing possibly be packing besides a screen and a keyboard? At just 9.99mm thin, the Dell Adamo XPS sets the new standard for thinness in the notebook world, but quite frankly we hope this doesn’t become a new trend. There aren’t too many details on the new computer just yet – only that it’s ridiculously thin. And silver. And Sony’s X Series is right around the corner. What do you guys think, is your Macbook Air feeling a little too fat now?

How *is* it a direct rip off. Please explain to me how from only seeing the thickness of a laptop you can say its copying the air. Next you’ll be telling me that any phone with a touchscreen is a rip off of the iphone.

I can see more than thinness. I also see it’s silver with rounded edges. IN MY OPINION, it looks like a mac air clone.
When the mac air came out, I’d never seen anything like.
Fact – my MacBook Pro is solid.
Fact – my BlackBerry Bold is solid.
I think Steve Jobs is a Mozart of our day. That too is an opinion. Although I don’t love all apple product. The iPhone isn’t for me.

Interesting that Dell won’t provide any specs. I’m sure it will be the same level of quality and sell just as well as the existing Adamo. Which is to say it will be shit quality and service and only idiots will buy it. You can buy a MacBook Air for $1399 these days for the low end model or $1699 for the high end. I’ll take that over some garbage from Dell. In a heartbeat.

i would take this any day! it’s small, light, and beautiful and while it’s no cell phone, it would make my portable life more, well, portable in comparison to current netbooks.
You guys are a bunch of retarded kids. Every tech company has their own pros and cons, be glad of what they can offer us today and think on the future!

I also agree that it looks Apple-esque, which is a compliment, if you think about it. Now, let’s see it from more than one angle (like, maybe open?). Also, specs.
But a 9.99 mm thin laptop is insanely impressive. It’s funny how the MacBook Air no longer feels like “the world’s thinnest notebook,” since the Adamo and Vaio X are thinner than the MBA’s thickest point (the wedge-shaped MBA is still the thinnest, when measured by average thickness, but this will best even that). Oh how quick the bleeding edge dulls! Could a 9.9 mm MBA be on the horizon? (The MBA [i]is[/i] almost two years old…)
It’s nice design but I refer Mac air. Seem Apple have best marketing campaign than others brand.
