BlackBerry 9700 launching on Rogers October 26th?
Uh oh. We’re slowly moving across the board here… First with a rumored T-Mobile launch date, now we have a Rogers one for you guys. One of our Northern connects just let us know that Rogers’ BlackBerry 9700 launch is currently pegged for October 26th. We don’t have pricing information, but imagine it will run around $299 with a three-year agreement. Not confirmed, of course, but hey, besides Christmas not much is.
Telus is also launching this phone. I’ll wait for the best deal by christmas before deciding who to go with.

yes same old bb operating system, its exactly what i sold my iphone for, i love me some blackberry, haven’t missed that POS iphone since i sold it.

Not for long. RiM recently acquired a toronto firm who’s name escapes me but they will be creating a brand new browser specifically for the BB. Plus adobe is finally releasing flash for the bb so…good times ahead
Has anyone heard if Rogers is getting the Storm 2? If not then this will be my upgrade.

I just called Rogers regarding my personal account, and I worded my questions in a way for the rep to confirm that there IS a Bold 9700 coming out on October 26th. HAHA

yah, lets hope telus and bell offer unlimited plans for the same as Rogers’ 1GB plans. whoo hoo something called compeition is finally going to happen in Canada.
i dunno if you wanna be the firstr to test the new telus 3G just yet. I’d stick with the more stable Rogers 3G which has been up for a couple years now if i were you =P
