Verizon Wireless, Sam’s Club, TARGET: gearing up to launch Motorola Droid, BlackBerry Storm 2, BlackBerry Curve 2, more
If you’ve been wondering whether the Motorola Droid (or Tao, or Sholes — whatever), BlackBerry Storm 2, BlackBerry Curve 2 or LG Chocolate Touch would be hitting Sam’s Club stores or even TARGET, you’re in luck. We just scored an internal document outlining merchandising, training, locations, and pretty much everything else you’d need to know. While Sam’s Club appears to be set up to carry the Motorola Android handset, TARGET seems to be left out. We won’t bore you with some of the more technical stuff, though. Here’s a shot of the Motorola Droid looking pretty fly in an all black everything outfit. There actually looks to possibly be a front-facing camera on the phone. It seems to corroborate our earlier report of some cool face recognition action, or it could just simply be the European variant. There’s placeholders for the LG Chocolate Touch, BlackBerry Storm 2 and Curve 2 in here, and we might have a little bit of copyright infringement on our hands, folks. That’s our BlackBerry Tour image nestled in between some other Verizon handsets. One more slide after the break.

That is a new render of the Moto Sholes. It shows four buttons on the bottom of the front, while the earlier renders only had three. Interesting …! The resolution is too low to see the key layout, but the d-pad is still where I want it

Any idea when these devices will be released or during which time-frame during which it will happen? Waiting on the sholes/tao/droid and want to compare it with the storm 2.
Not sure if this belongs here, but a press release from Adobe makes you wonder what the real release date is for the Moto Droid..

I saw the same front facing camera thing at Giz. Why do either of you make that assumption when you’ve seen dozens of shots of this thing already? You know its just the moto logo. Why base such a thing off such a tiny picture when you’ve got so many large one?
Man I’m so glad they put a REAL qwerty on the motorola droid and not a crippled one like they put on the Cliq

this phone seems to have gotten many things RIGHT
and that dpad will make playing games alot better

I’d be careful what you say about number row keypads around these parts. There are some really militant people that have nothing better to do than discredit your opinion on the subject. You should know that liking a number row in the comments section here is akin to liking Microsoft products on Gizmodo. (BTW, I agree with you 100%…)

With the number of Android phones being pumped out and (soon) running on every carrier, I’m sure the number & quality of apps will increase exponentially.
Does it really matter the fact is none have prove worthy of a purchase.Looks has nothing to do with the performance.
