VZW I just noticed is one-way syncing read messages to Gmail pretty instantaneously, but not vis-versa.

I was up the entire night, using BBM 4.7 on OS 5.0.0.238 constantly throughout the night. Didn’t “feel” a thing. I had forgotten that the upgrade was scheduled for last night, and RIM’s actions certainly didn’t remind me.

how about proper IMAP communications with two-way sync with *any* email server….

I’d imagine that would be one of the biggest thing “non-corporate types have been yammering about” since day one. Everyday people and small businesses don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on BES, nor do they use Exchange, Lotus, etc.

the differences that i have noticed

every time i have to enter username and pass
when i login to the BIS from BB
to add email or edit any info like sig

and the “change device” link is new
which i didn’t have a week ago

service books has always been under help

I think the service books are now under the help option on the left side of screen at the bottom. At least it is with Telus.

Did anyone else loose the ability to send service books from online on VZW?

Also, when are they going to fix the Re:/RE: Fwd:/FW:/FWD: issues with Gmail? (Anyone else have this problem?)

Gmail’s Premier and free accounts are working without any hiccups. Using a Storm, it’s going to be at least a couple of months before OS 5 hits the streets (I’m assuming) and I see better integration between Google and my BBs.

So, in all, the change doesn’t even rate a “meh”, more like “at least BIS didn’t choke”.

I don’t really see any changes on my Bold 9000 running .297 – how can I confirm whether or not I’ve received this update? And shouldn’t there be settings somewhere for the Google Contacts sync or it just gonna do it on its own?

I’m with Tom. Google Sync has been doing calendar and contacts quite nicely for a while now. I’m still waiting for native gmail support to be gravy.
