Nokia Introduces the AT&T-bound 6350; launching October 4th, $29.99

Today is shaping up to be the day of the feature phone at the hands of a nationwide carrier conspiracy — or perhaps carriers are just trying to get low end dumb phone announcements out of the way ahead of next week’s hoopla. Earlier this morning Verizon went crazy with a feature phone blitz and now AT&T is joining in on the action with the simple clam shell pictured above. The Nokia 6350 will be available starting October 4th and will be about as typical as they come where low end feature phones are concerned. 3G connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera, a Web browser, email capabilities and dedicated external multimedia buttons round out the spec highlights and beyond that, gray and red color options will hopefully appeal to youngsters seeking out their first mobile handsets. Pricing is set at $29.99 after a mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract, placing the 6350 well within reach for just about anyone.

Wow, what a pile of garbage that is so reminiscent of the 6555 I owned with its’ Series 40 bullshit.

Will this one not brick itself like the 6555 I had did?

    6555 horrible
    6650 horrible
    6350 probably will follow

For some reason, other than the e71x, At&t always seems to get low low end Nokia phones.
The Surge, their latest, seemed to be pretty cool, larger keypad & all but the couple that I have sold seemed to freeze & reboot w/ slide movement.
    Ill stop now.

This phone is already available in most AT&T outlets just ask for it and you shall receive. A grey version is also available. The best thing about this phone is that it has a slight ruberized texture which feels great in the hand. However, when you open the phone you are extremely underwhelmed by the retarded keypad.

The VGA video capture is a nice feature for such a basic phone. There is still a lotta demand for “phone” phones and after selling and demoing my first today this one has me impressed.

Sorry, that doesn’t sound very tech blog worthy.

Everything that’s not what I like is crap. And since this isn’t [insert smartphone platform of choice here] I hope it slow burns in a fiery pit of cinder.

lol JP. I had a 6555 that I gave to my dad, it’s a nice flip, not sure why some say it is horrible.

The 6126 however, THAT was horrible. The flip button was nice, but it was built poorly, and the firmware is crap as well as being buggy.
