Verizon Wireless Pantech Razzle offer users some swivel and a wallet-friendly price
What do you do with a bulky QWERTY messaging phone that makes everyone yawn? You give it a snazzy name and add some twisting action to the form factor in order to garner the people’s attention. Such is the case with the Pantech Razzle, the successor to the rather ho-hum Pantech Blitz. The prominent feature of the new Razzle is a spinning keyboard that will twist from a QWERTY pad on one side to music controls on the other. Nokia came out with a phone with the same concept like three or four years ago didnt they? the only difference is probably the qwerty keyboard, the nokia had a numeric keypad.
Nokia 3250. It never had a US release, I don’t think.
I own one. I don’t know if the twisting had anything to do with it but the d-pad, soft keys and call/end buttons stopped working after like 6months.
Am I the only one here trying to figure out what practical use there is to swiveling the keyboard around?
Talk about “pure gimmick”. A swivel camera makes sense, then you can take angled shots, upskirt shots, self portraits, etc. But the keyboard has no purpose on the back; you can’t use it and it’s not hidden, others can still see it and comment “What idiot buys a phone with a keyboard on the back?!”
When I get rid of this POS Pantech Duo I will never buy another devce from Pantech.

Simply put, it looks rather retarded. But I’m sure teenage girls are going to love it. Hope they made it in pink if they wanna sell.
its actually one of the nicest phones ive ever owned, and although the name is gay as hell, it performs well and the swivel is quite useful, music on one side(best speakers on any phone ive seen), and having the qwerty on the back means i wont be pocket dialling people. in the end its a functional phone. plus ive always had flip phones in the past, and the swivel gives me something to fidget with. the music buttons are intuitive (and on the front), and the swivel is very, very, sturdy more than one of my friends have tried to 360 swivel it and it still works great. I can kinda get how with a name like razzle you might assume its a phone for teenage girls, but in truth it is a phone for people who like good phones and music.
And those four dinky music buttons couldn’t be on the front, for some reason? If this had something like a click wheel or even a Zune Pad it’d sort of make sense, but just the three <| >> buttons and presumably a menu key? Worthless.
Gawd, I never thought this piece of shit would get to market.
I highly doubt the majority of people who buy this will follow the “Do not rotate 360 degrees” rule. I bet the store demo is broken the day of release.
