AT&T MMS outage?
Oh yeah. You read that correctly. We’ve received a couple tips about MMS possibly being down completely for some AT&T subscribers and a quick call to AT&T’s customer care line revealed that there is a known latency issue with MMS in all states with no estimated time of repair.
So we ask you, dear readers: is your MMS feature working on your iPhones?
Blogging on BGR has become such a joke..no one stays on topic any more and So many people just trail off the subject to bash and insult people with my carrier is better than yours or iphone sux blah..if accountability were had here most of you would watch your mouths..i say start banning people BGR like Howard forums does..
Im here in NY (Bronx and Manhatan) and it hasnt worked yet. Tried sending to a Sidekick, A G1, a G-Touch(My Touch whatever the hell its called) and other Iphones and no dice.
MMS has been working fine for me.
People piss me off.. so much. No matter what carrier you have, you will all whine. Constantly. Bunch of crybabies. My iphone has never dropped a call, never had an issue with it in any way shape or form. Nor have any of my colleagues. Yes issues will arise. Its technology. I have a macbook, windows pc and linux. Guess what. THEY ALL BREAK. Find me a carrier or a phone that never has issues and ill show you a liar.
It works perfectly in Miami and the rest of south Florida area. And my brother’s is working fine in DC.

im having alot of customers come in here and say its not working make sure you all are turning off the phone after the carrier update (not the 3.1 update) i know this isn’t going to be everybody’s problem but just throwing it out there
yeah those kiosk boys and girls are all over this blogsite… they give us real att employees a bad name…
they lie to customers and are often rude to them. you can tell just the way they insult people here.
sorry to all the real folks who are having real network related problems. hopefully att will stop talking the talk and start walking the walk in terms of network capacity enhancements. believe me its not easy taking calls full of customer complaints all day. it gets draining after a while.
Not working here in mn for me? Supposedly sends but nobody can receive mms from my phone. Also takes a hell of a Long time for it to send, hangs at the end for about 10 seconds. One of these days I am sure it will work, I hope.

Still getting the red exclamation point when trying to send MMS
I did the update through iTunes and rebooted. It worked at first, but then stopped working last night. Still doesn’t work this AM.
Customer service are idiots! They say I must have damaged my iPhone or something and that nobody else has reported problems other than me. I don’t buy that BS.
What does the red exclamation point mean?
I have had zero luck with several MMS efforts from my 3GS to my wife’s phone (3G). Made sure I rebooted both phones first too. No luck with photo, video or contacts being sent. This is not a flame, just an anecdotal report from Northern VA.
In Cedar Rapids, IA – Tried several times over 3 hours to send a picture, finally worked around 10pm Friday (09/25)
This is probably only temporary, nothing more than at&t’s already underpowered 3g network buckling under the pressure of millions of iphone users spiking the mms queue.
Everyone saw this happening, its like when 20 iphones users get in a circle and start browsing… entire states will start having outages

It means send failure. Apple and ATT have suggested that users reset their network settings on their iPhones and rebooting it. It doesn’t hurt to try

FYI people, sending an MMS is supposed to make the status bar “hang” for about 10 seconds as a 2-megapixel picture uses more KB than a simple text message. Every phone on every carrier does the same thing.

Took about 6 hours to send 1 mms. Also dropping calls like never before in So Cal. Fuck you At&t. Fix your damn network.

Why do people really think mms is going to cripple Any carriers network? People have been sending pics on almost every other phone since mms came out…it’s not like people are saying “oh mms is available let me send every pic I have in my phone to everybody in the world …it’s not that much data were talking a few kb here
When on the phone with an AT&T rep he was telling me services were up and down in the area (southeast) and it was due to iPhone MMS. Give it time.
