Sony Ericsson announces the motion-activated MH907 headphones

SE-MH907_black

September 15th: Sony Ericsson claims, “the way you listen to music changes forever” on September 21st. September 21st: Sony Ericsson announces the MH907 motion-controlled headphones and 99.999999999999% of the world will continue listening to music the same old way. Don’t get us wrong — the new “SensMe” technology SE introduced today is kind of nifty. Basically, it allows you to control music playback and call handling by removing and replacing one of your ear buds. Ok that’s cool we suppose, but it begs the question: Is removing and replacing an ear bud to control your headset more or less convenient than simply tapping a button? We’re going to go with less. The novelty factor is certainly there though, so if you have a Sony Ericsson phone — yes, this headset will only work with SE phones — at least you have something interesting to look forward to. No pricing or release information has been made available.

Is SE serious or is this some kind of a tech joke?

They just need to go ahead and file for bankruptcy now or sell their assets to a real tech company.

    This is embarrassing.

albert u were way to excited about posting first.. this head set is even more pathetic than posting first.. the only logical application is running biking or driving.. this is great for a marathoner or some who loves excercise bikes but for music as a whole get real sony hasnt made an innovative music gadget since the cd man..

    Sonya says:

    Dear Sony Erricson,

Please stop selling your smartphones, they do not sell and are way overpriced for the average consumer for you to ever turn a large profit, or for that matter even a mediocre profit.

Please stop selling these revolutionary headphones immediately, for they are are no where near revolutionary as I have already predicted that only 4 people will buy these across the globe, and 3 will shortly be returned after their complete and utter uselessness.

    Thank You,

    Sonya

LOL!! I would have expected a hands-free type of motion. What about adjusting them while you’re out for your daily run? Or pulling them out to talk to your neighbor?

    click-click…tone….

Ha! I remember that game Hassan. I think I would consider buying something with the head pat/belly rub concept. At least, I would consider it more than this pair of Sony Ericsson headphones.

I hope they’ll release these in 3,5 mm too for the coming products. Cool and simple features is the shit.

To all you low life naggering idiots in this thread: Keep it up, it’s charming and really cool.

All they need to do now is release a model with some decent ear buds at the end of the cable.
