HTC Leo caught on film; capacitive display with multi-touch support in action
While word of the Toshiba TG01 heading to the US isn’t expected any time soon, we may have another Snapdragon-powered WinMo handset headed our way in the not-too-distant future. Sure, we’ve had the specs for a while and we recently got to enjoy some live pics, but there’s nothing like seeing the HTC Leo strut it’s multi-touch stuff on camera to get those juices flowing. Mmmm, a little 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen action is just what the doctor ordered. Hit the jump for a quick video of this sexy, albeit mammoth Windows Phone showing off for the camera and get ready for what will undoubtedly be a hefty price tag once the Leo gets official.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Tmo please buy Sprint so we can get this. This will be a awesome phone.
Still windows mobile. You can only polish a turd so much.
@willis: i understand your sentiments cuz u obviously been polished a whole lot & u still a turd under it all
This looks good. WinMo or not, what many want is a touch screen with capability and functionality along the lines of the iPhone. This looks to be right there. HTC will have this on all carriers in a matter of months.
I cna’t wait for the released date or at least let me pre-order it.
Caught on film? how long ago was this taken? lol.
Right on fanboy, i hope you right and they do release this soon to U.S. carriers.
Yea that looks very good.
Webos please.
A sneak peak at Apple’s target hardware specs for the 2016 iPhone.
I wish AT&T would get rid of the iPhone- maybe some of these cool new phones that I actually want would show up on the network. Pipe dream, I know…
@Biggles,
Sure dude. That was funny! Pheww… I think I laughed too hard. 4.3″ screen? Have fun putting that phone in your pocket! The processor would be nice, but it’s not really worth it until battery tech can catch up. I can only imagine how quick that screen can gobble up battery.
Did any one notice that it was stuck in portrait?

@scott the phone was on a table, the accelerometer wouldn’t pick it up because it’s not angled.
haha…windows mobile….they still sell those….droid rules
Is there an official spec page with the declaration of a Capacitive screen?
I believe these leaked pictures show a Resistive screen due to the microdots (look in the black section)

If it is resistive multi-touch then maybe it’s something that can be ported to the older touch screen phones like the TP/TP2
It’s capacitive. Those dots aren’t exclusive to resistive screens, as the Pre’s capacitive screen has them as well.
Diaplay?
Editors?
Straight up ignorance Scott. It’s only 1/2cm wider and 1/2cm taller than iphone…. yet its screen is .7 inches bigger. so if you can put an iphone in your pocket, this wont cause any hassles
