Zune HD available today; apps and games coming soon
A triple dose of good news today for those who resent Apple’s stranglehold on the PMP market. Not only is the Zune HD now on sale starting at $219.99, but Microsoft has finally come clean and admitted that in the upcoming months it plans to bombard the Zune faithful and converts alike with apps such as Twitter for Zune and Facebook for Zune, and games like Project Gotham Racing: Ferrari Edition, Vans Sk8: Pool Service and Audiosurf Tilt. Not only that, but Zune HD owners can also look forward to streaming HD video to the Xbox 360 as well as the ability to purchase and rent TV shows, movies and more. Microsoft, this is yours to mess up… Please don’t. Anyone have a shiny new Zune HD squarely in his or her sights today?
Well personally i don’t care if it is a zune or a ipod or iphone as long as it does the job at hand but i will go for whoever is cheapest lol

I meant a custom EQ like the one found on all Sony Walkman’s. It still doesn’t have one from what I’ve seen.

I don’t have the free time (that you apparently do) to get that list of names, but you can begin by going to Amazon Zune HD reviews (where I am sure you have already trolled and spammed) to read the dozens of FIVE STAR ratings/reviews people have posted. Also read some of the posts you have been spamming, owners are very satisfied. Call us stupid for buying it, but I love it and have never been more satisfied with a electronics purchase. Even the iPod Touch owners I work with love it.
Completely untrue. I have been using mine since getting it on 9/15.
Downloaded the Zune 4.0 software 9/15 at 7am, installed it.
UPS delivered Zune HD at 2PM, plugged it in, I have been using the Zune HD with Zune software/marketplace since then.
A few items were sporadically unavailable such as ’social’ and ‘apps’.
So everybody knows, a Zune Pass is just an option, you don’t have to have it to purchase albums, tracks, videos, HD shows, HD movies, etc. Also, you can rip CDs with the Zune software and obviously the software discovers all of your music on your computer so you can add it to your Zune HD.

Microsoft did an outstanding job with this media device. It is far sleeker than my iPod touch. Having used an ipod touch, the interface and the features on the Zune HD are far better. You get impressive features on the Zune. HD radio sounds great. OLED Screen is fantastic. The device is extremely light and very well built. Battery life is great as well. I have no complaints about this device. I purchased it with the dock, and man does the picture look great on my TV. The Zune outputs videos without any problems or hesitation. Truly a great device. I highly recommend and definitely recommend that you play around with it for yourself, because pictures truly don’t do it justice.
I just wanted to say, I love the zune hd and that I believe that it does have a chance to beat out the rival ipod touch. However, it’s avaialable apps is a critical feature that will aid it in selling better than Apple’s touch. Right now, we are losing because Apple gets new apps on a monthly basis. That makes it hard to compeat.
i would like to say that emille and i love doughnuts know what they are talking about my zune is the greatest thing ever.
i dont have a dock that outputs tv but i need to get one. i love the fact that it has the quickplay feature. and you dont need the facebook app to get on facebook, you just need to have a wireless network. it could easily beat out the itouch due purely to the fact that its apps are free and that it can connect to/downloads with xbox.
got one. literally am using it to write this response lol. cant wait for the racing aand facebook apps (althoigh mobile facebook works good enoigh on here to the point where the facebook app might be unnecessary). this thing is frickin awesome though, the ONLY things i dont like about it are no flash in browser (for youtube for me) and no youtube/pandora apps yet. once thosr and the games come out, ill be happy haha. PS, sorry for any typos, still gettin used to the keyboard =). P.S.S. it needs aim app too! hahaha
The new zune looks and probably is great to use, but i cant pay 220 or 290 to downgrade on storage capacity. My 80GB zune is near capacity and i wouldn’t want to give up my collection for fancy graphics.
