BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac to be released September 25th?

We just got a heads up from one of our trusty ninjas and they’ve informed us that, yes finally, BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac will launch September 25th. While we haven’t confirmed this with other sources just yet, we’d put this high on the probability meter seeing as how the latest build is running beautifully.
Thanks, AR19!

Hi guys,
I installed the beta version on my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard but the BDM does not recognize my Bold. The programs opens and ask me to connect my device… It is connected but nothing happens. The Bold’s disks mounts on Mac. Thanks.
Hey all.
Running build 1.1 on leopard. Seamless integration with ical, address book
k, itunes playlists, Cal notes. What it can’t do right now is install a new device OS. Hope that will change in the final release.. ( you can install and update installed apps however..)
Anyone have a clue how to upgrade to Blackberry’s OS 4.5 from a Mac? AT&T won’t do it from the store where I purchased the phone because of their “non download policy.” Blackberry washed its hands of it, telling me AT&T is responsible. WTF?
The AT&T people are retards, hell-bent on offering the least amount of support possible. The only way I’ve been able to update software is find a friend with a PC and use that.
Got that right. I am discouraged Blackberry passed the buck as well considering they marketed the Curve 8310 as “Mac compatible.” I’ve waited this long. A few more days for the new Desktop Manager won’t hurt.
Still nothing…any word on when to actually expect the full release??
ahhhh hurry up RIM let’s go!
Um its September 25th and I don’t have BB Desktop Manager in my hands. What gives? I read a report on crackberry saying its delayed a week?!? Anyone know about this?
BB’s lack of Mac customer attention has the iPhone looking better each day Desktop Manager is delayed.
‘zactley RSKaz! I love the bold but this is getting ridiculous. Seems like SL (OS 10.6) caught RIM by surprise & now they’ve had to go back to the drawing board. I had the beta running on Leo and it installs on SL but as reported above doesn’t recognize the bold when USB’d in. Any word on whether the real ver. will allow the device data to overwrite the app data? That was missing from the beta.
Here’s were BB’s marketing ideology tanks.
Considering how many Mac users are using OS 10.5 on non-Intel machines as compared to Intel/SL, the priority should be on the former. Unless BB is in sync with Apple’s non-support of non-Intel users.
Jesus! I’m starting to sound like a conspiracy theorist.
Hurry up & wait.

FYI… RIM announced at 7am ET today BDM for Mac will officially be released Oct 2nd at 1pm ET. It’s not a September release as promised but at least we now have a date and a time.

I have this same problem. Can’t find too much related to the issue. Tried everything I could, but not working. If you find a solution please post it.
On the 4.5 operating system I needed to unlock the phone and get into the OS ENGINEERING screen and toggle the USB and MS controls. This has changed with 5.0 and I have not found a resolution. Here is the link for 4.5. https://support.markspace.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=338&nav=0,3,11 Let me know if you find something like this for 5.0
