Sprint announces the Samsung Instinct HD, but only to Premier customers and possibly by mistake
Granted this isn’t typically how we learn of new handsets from Sprint, but anyone still not convinced that Sprint is indeed preparing to launch a new variant of the Instinct can now rest easy. Sure, last month we exclusively told you about the phone appearing on Best Buy’s site and then about a week later it popped up again in live shots, but some people just aren’t happy until they hear it from the horse’s mouth. For those people, we’re happy to inform you that the horse’s most recent newsletter sent out to Premier customers includes the little image and ensuing blurb you see to the right. Whether or not it was included by mistake is unknown but it was in fact included and as such, it’s more than safe to say a launch is almost at hand. The blurb highlights “a 3.2″ screen, enhanced visual voicemail, simpler texting, improved browsing and a 5-megapixel camera,” so consider those the main talking points once Sprint does finally unveil its new Instinct. As for when that might happen or how much the HD will cost, no word yet we’re afraid. Soon, Sprint fans, soon.

It will be released on the 27th of this month only at best buy. then it will be available at sprint stores on oct 11th. This is straight from sprint. call em. they were willing to tell me and im not special,.
unlike the other 2 Instincts i have owned, will this have adobe flash player, and be able to support my-cast weather?
How hard do you think it’ll be for me to convince Sprint to give me 2-year pricing on this if I just bought the Instinct S30? I would be willing to extend my contract…
Don’t get any of these Instinct AKA ItStinks line phones. The instinct and the s30 were complete garbage. I’ve never had so many returns on a device other than the V3. The original instinct had WAY too many issues with software and the browser sucked hard. The S30 was pretty much the same with Opera Mini rather than their own browser. They both seem to have freezing issues as well as the screen not responding way too often. Get a blackberry and you’ll be happier than ever. Or hell, get WinMo. Just don’t get this crap product. Or if you really want a touch screen, get you that HTC Hero or Pro2.
I agree that initially the Instinct wasn’t good but there aren’t a lot of bad reports lately and this is a newer version so most likely the bugs have been fixed
sounds nice. but i’m holding out for the touch pro 2. i had the orignal touch pro on vzw. and i hated it. it sucks on vzw. i couldnt beleive what a difference getting the same phone on sprint made. if you have a vzw phone i truly feel bad for you!!

First of all, Sprint is not announcing anything. These are all leaks from websites not 100% reliable! But I recon it will be a great device from what I’ve read
I LOVE MY INSTINCT PHONE. I LOVE THAT FACT THAT IT COMES WITH TWO BATTERIES SO I DONT EVER MISS ANYTHING ON MY PHONE.
Unfortunatly, We at sprint will not allow you to upgrade your line at 2 year pricing (150 off) because you just upgraded your line. I work in telesales as an enterprise agent and by NO means will we do this. I am sorry about that.
this is total bullshit….this contract and rebate stuff..not only are we as consumers buying the phone..we have no promotions as customers,(valued customer.. been w sprint 9 yrs) and a new customer gets better deals then i do…this is total BS..so what is sprint saying..after you sign up u wait forever for deals?in this economy and with their competition they better become more humble and not so greedy..
i agree Sprint definitely treats their customers like isht, but all you have to do is call and COMPLAIN and they will transfer you to escalations and THEY will give you whatever 2 keep you happy EASY!
I’m going to give it a try. The rep a radioshack said I could get it for 149.99 which sprint website tells me its 499.99 with my upgrade since I’m a Premier member,lol. There’s nothing special about premier and this one is said to have all software and browser problems worked out.
