Pre, Eos, Storm 2, Touch Pro 2, Omnia II and Convoy allegedly spied in Verizon’s inventory system

As the title might suggest, a flurry of screenshots hit the Web this morning, allegedly depicting Verizon’s inventory system and the bevy of unreleased smartphones found within. While we definitely can’t vouch for the authenticity of these screenshots, they could certainly be the real deal as we know that each of the handsets mentioned is due to hit Big Red in the near future. The source also claims these screen shots come from a “most loyal tipster” so we’ll assume that means he or she has provided good info before. Covered below are the Palm Pre (P101), Palm Eos (P121), BlackBerry Storm 2, HTC Touch Pro2 (XV6875), Samsung Omnia II, and the Samsung Convoy U640. Sheesh, when did VZW become the king of smartphones? Hit the jump for the shots, including a larger version of the cap above.

    I can’t browse the internet with a screen shot. I’ll be impressed when they actually RELEASE a halfway decent smartphone.

    BTW the Omnia II is SUPER laggy and RIM has burned it’s bridge with me as far as touch screen devices so I’ll pass on the Storm 2.

    That only leaves the Pre, which everyone knows won’t be out until 2010 and the Touch Pro 2, which every other carrier will have out months before Verizon (just like the TP1).

    Bottom line…Verizon still sucks and it always will.

    But I’m not bitter or anything

    I’d really like to see the cousin of the Palm Pre. The Palm Pre is not attractive looking to me but hopefully the cousin has a fashion upgrade.

    My whole reason for leaving Verizon 2+ years ago was their crappy smartphone collection. I’m considering a move back to big red.

    I heard the Verizon Pre won’t have wifi and will have its native gps deactivated in favor of the overpriced VZnavigator.

    @StevenGlansburg

    Why is it that everything you post is flamebait?

    @Beeve

    Maybe I can help (because I’m in the same boat). The Pre doesn’t have a microSD slot and for me, that’s a deal breaker.

    The Touch Pro2 looks promising but it has WinMo 6.1 and even with TouchFLO it’s still lipstick on a pig. Ditto for the Omnia II (TouchWiz just sounds dirty).

    At this point, the Storm 2 and Motorola Sholes look to be the most promising handsets. For me it’s just a waiting game now.

    That doesn’t make any sense. Every single Verizon smartphone from the Tour on is supposed to have WiFi. And every GPS enabled device, with the exception of the Omnia hasn’t been locked down.

    I really don’t care anyway, I’m waiting for Sholes.

    I’m generally interested in the Palm Eos. Obviously the Sholes is also on my radar. I’ve had WinMo phones and I have a Blackberry so I’m not really looking towards the Storm 1.2 (without a major OS or UI upgrade thats what it is to me) or even the Touch Pro 2.

    I was under the impression that the Storm 2 will run BlackBerry OS 5.0 at launch. Is that not the case?

    @ SKiTz: If you had any clue what you were talking about, you’d know that everything we know points to a Verizon Touch Pro2 launch only a week or two after Sprint.

    @ StevenGlansburg: Your comments are pointless, as usual.

    Is this really news? All these phones were rumored to be coming to Verizon anyway. There’s no launch dates associated with these screenshots, so who really cares.

    @ Carlos: Yeah, I heard something about Sprint recently…ranked dead last in business wireless, customer care, sales satisfaction, and ranked second to last in call quality.
