I am looking into buying a Rogue but HAVE to be able to back up the calendar. I had a Centro and backed it up to Outlook, then from there synced to Google Calendar using the freeware Google Calendar Sync (can download multiple places; here’s one http://google-calendar-sync.en.softonic.com/). Now I am looking at the freeware GCalSync which supposedly lets you sync the calendar on your mobile device with Google Calendar (see http://lifehacker.com/177036/download-of-the-day-gcalsync). But I don’t know if the Rogue and GCalSync are compatible. Want to give this a try and let me know if it works??

Why are you getting rid of your Centro? I just bought the Rogue and am considering trading it back in for a Centro. I just came off the Treo 650 and love the features but it is bulky.

I’m trying to figure out how to get custom ringtones on the phone using a ringtone maker. Any ideas? I’ve tried drag-and-drop on the card… still nothing.

You can create ring tones using audacity (free product) to clip the portion of large MP3s. If you have an MP3 that you wish to use as your ringtone you just simply email it to your phone using the @vzqpix.com address for your phone and then when the multimedia message arrives save it in either ‘My Tones’ or ‘My ringtones’ Works great. I am also looking for the work around for synching and if I find one will post.

You DO need to get the internet plan when you get the Rogue, there’s no way around it.. I mean the phone WORKS without it, but I guess it’s just another way to make more money.
ALSO- I exchanged mine for a new one a week after I had it, I kept having some quirky issues with things like it wouldn’t erase messages or contacts after trying to erase them (multiple times) OR with it showing that I have a calendar event, when I don’t. The Verizon team would rather have me exchange it, than show me how to correct it if it ever happens again- maybe it was just a weird system… at least I THOUGHT- now its doing it again!
    ugh!

i love this phone. i’ve had a few problems with it shutting off, and i mean very few, but it seems like every phone does that these days, plus it’s not big deal. i love the keyboard, and it’s super easy to get used to. touch screens great. the phone doesn’t have a FULL onscreen keyboard but it does have the normal onscreen keypad. this phone does just about everything my blackberry did just don’t have to pay the extra 40 bucks a month. i’d definately recommend it.

Calendar SUCKS. Cant add biweekly events, all day events, reminders can only be 24 hours in advance. Cant add location. Reminders suck in general. CANT sync with google calendar. Can only add 100 entries or so before it is full.

how do you cancel a text message before it is sent? I always accidently press send when i’m not finished with a text and i try pressing clear or end and neither stop the message from sending.
