Motorola readying Wi-Fi/3G-packing A3300c for China Mobile

Fantastic news boys and girls — Motorola is holding an Android event on September 10th where it will unveil the Sholes along with a bunch of other Google OS-related goodies! Oh wait, we covered that already? Sorry, it’s just hard to even think about anything else Moto-related at this point, even if it is a noteworthy full touchscreen WinMo phone that will reportedly bring Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity to China Mobile. We first told you about the handset earlier this month and now Chinese paper Sina is reporting that an announcement is imminent. Purported specs include a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display, touch-sensitive buttons beneath the display, 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash, accelerometer, GPS/aGPS navigation and of course handwriting recognition. It’s not every day we see a China-bound handset sport Wi-Fi and 3G (that’s pretty darn sleek no less) so kudos to Moto and we look forward to an official announcement. In the meantime, hit the jump for more shots.

Thanks, J-Glow!

And why can’t we have this in the US? Devices like this once can ONLY improve Motorola’s health here! Flash this with Android and we have a decent winner.

Why can’t we have it in the USA? Blame the carriers. They want phones locked, crippled and bloated with their crapware (ummmm…value added software). Manufacturers don’t want to sell crippled phones, because when they slow down, lock up, refuse to work, the carrier most likely will blame the phone, which makes someone not want to buy another one from the XYZ company, because it locks up, when, most of the time its the garbage the carriers put on the phones in the first place that screw them up. My HTC “Fuze” was slow, had to be rebooted once or twice a day, but since I blew it out and put a non carrier rom on it, which toasted all the crapware, it runs lightning fast.
