Want Visual Voicemail on your BlackBerry Bold today?

We just got a tip that while the upgraded BlackBerry Bold OS for AT&T won’t be released until Tuesday, the feature code for Visual Voicemail for BlackBerry handsets is in the system. You know what that means, right? If you’re running a Bold OS that has the Visual Voicemail icon on it, you can call up your friendly AT&T customer service rep, ask them to add the Visual Voicemail feature to your account, and you should be good to go. We’ve confirmed this with one of our Bolds — let us know if you get it going.
Before we forget… this is a free feature for all BlackBerry Bold users.
Updated with additional information after the break.
Here are some quick features that the BlackBerry Visual Voicemail system will provide:
- Store up to 40 voicemails for up to 14 days
- Archive voicemails to device memory or on a microSD card
- Forward voicemails as an MMS to other users or an email address
- Save phone numbers in your Visual Voicemail inbox to your address book
- Setup your voicemail including greeting right from the application itself

From what I hear if you don’t have a data plan no vvm for you
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
ive had my VVM working for a little while now on at&t and i think it is way better than that of the iphone.
From what I understand AT&T will also be releasing 4.6.0.297 on Tuesday to give customers a non-beta OS with VVM on it.
HHMMMMMMMMMMM……………
I wonder if this would be better than YouMail Plus……..
W@@W this thing would be amazing if my country had AT&T :S will it work with other service providers ??!??
Another vote for “How will this compare to the YouMail free offering that I have?” (which works pretty darn well I must say!)
just spent 20min on the phone with an att business center rep. he could not find the feature/provisioning code in his system and gave me the same jazz about no vvm support until the new os drops on the 25th. bummer
ive had the visual voicemail on my bold since i bought it last month, and it never worked. but i have tmobile soo i guess i cant get it? =/
called 611, got business care, spoke with a very nice rep, knew exactly what was up. 2 mins later i am provisioned, rebooted, and good to go! awesome!
This is true, but it’s their after hours department which sucks donkey….you know what! You need to call their regular customer service to get this taken care of.
Sweet
Sent via BlackBerry.
Called business customer support this evening and they provisioned me for VVM. I still think we have to wait until the new OS is released Tuesday to get the right connection.
i updated the os, the vvm app works fine but for some reason i cant access vm at all. when someone calls instead of hearing my vm greeting they are sent to the vm backdoor prompt. in fact i called the backdoor vm line from my landline, and cant get through to any vm box, mine or anyone elses.
weird.
Touche, callerid costs the network nothing to provide, it runs in an IE (information element) along with each and every call.
It is just money for nothing for an operator, and is used to increase their ARPU (average revenue per user) the figure that all cellular operators love to brag about – Rogers definitly need some competition in the GSM/UMTS market in Canada
I recently blogged about the fact that Rogers now charge $1.45 a minute for roaming in the US, when Fido used to only charge 35c a minute in the glory days of the City Fido plan before Rogers acquired them.
Competition please – someone ?
okay,
called cs, they changed a setting. everything works great! woohoo!
dIs IS a kEWl feATuRe FoR FONes.. i WiSH dIS WuZ oN my Lg EnV loLOloLOLolOL
called CS just now and got it added, easily.
im havin the same problem…VVM didnt work…
got VVM fixed, the CS rep didnt setup the forwarding correctly, got VVM working now, YAAY!
Or you can go to BlackBerry App World and download YouMail, with all the features to be offered, plus smart and unique greetings, transcription and all the best VM featrures today.
Just got off phone with ATT support and this is no go for visual voice mail feature today.

The feature code for the Blackberry Visual Voicemail is “BBVV”
its loaded in the system now
What about the Curve 8900? No go?
on the call with AT&T for over 35 minutes..still trying to figure out the code in their system..
I just called, Read the BGR article to the customer service rep after she told me that only the iPhone had visual voicemail. Proceeded then to look it up, and BAM. The code, stated a million times before is “BBVV”. It’s there – it works – it’s awesome.
