Samsung Rogue arriving in stores, launching soon
It looks like all you Samsung Glyde fans who have struggled through the handset’s touchscreen issues will soon have another Sammy to complain about drool over. Looking quite sharp with its black and silver exterior, the Samsung Rogue sports a touchscreen display, qwerty keyboard, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3 megapixel camera and EV-DO Rev. A support. According one of our trusty ninjas, Rogue shipments are arriving in Verizon stores now for a launch that is imminent. Hit the jump for a few more closeups and keep those fingers crossed in hopes that this Samsung slider is free of the issues that have plagued similar offerings.
I spoke to 2 different verizon employees yesterday and they both said there is no way that data plans are going to be required on non-smart phones. One guy laughed and said “that’s retarded”, but who knows…..
I called my verizon store today, and I guy who sounded very bored with his job (hah) told me that the Samsung Intensity and Samsung Rogue are definitely coming out on the 8th (tomorrow.) I’m so excited aside the $550 regular price on the rogue according to best buy. Can’t afford that, maybe I’ll have to settle for intensity

The Rogue and Intensity are available on the Verizon website and according to the description:
“Data Package or Nationwide Premium or Connect Plan Required for Enhanced Multimedia Phones General” Source: Verizon website
Well, they’re way too overpriced… $10 a month for 25 MB, which is like 40 cents a MB.
Verizon told me to get the connect plan, and its unlimited web browsing. The Data Packages only come into play when getting the select plan.
What data plan is $9.99 I can only find 49.99 as the cheapest on the VZ site?
I upgraded my phone this one, if you order it online its only $99.99
The required data plane is $8 a month.

I got mine on Sept 8th when it first came out & so far I love it….except for the $10 data plan & the $8 a month insurance because its an “enhanced device”….
i have no idea why everyone in other forums are talking bad about this phone ive looked at it at the vz store and its very solid. i ordered mine and it will arrive tues.
