Zune HD to launch September 15th according to Best Buy leak
Mark your calendars and get your credit cards ready as the Zune HD will be dropping in just over a month. Thanks to a leaked Best Buy pre-order flyer, we now have a tentative launch date to accompany the rumored pricing for the Zune HD. Zero hour for Microsoft’s slick new portable media player is September 15th, a week later than previously reported. With all the pre-launch leaks out of the way, now all we have to do is wait for Microsoft to make these details official and see if the folks in Redmond can do so before those rumored iPods try to steal the HD’s limelight. - Yes, Apple reigns supreme w/ ipod and touch. No, the Zune will not de-throne them and no one is saying as much
- No, the Zune is not subscription based ONLY. You can certainly buy music and OWN it and DRM FREE
- Yes, I understand many functions already exist in Touch, so why not just get the touch? Because I don’t wanna. Because other people don’t wanna. It’s just that simple. Here’s thing I realized… shit talking aside, you actually cannot lose either way you go, whether it be Zune or Ipod. Similar to 360 vs PS3. This isn’t format wars where one must stay and one must go. All can coexist.
- Yes, next touch has a camera. Whoopity doo. I think there’s a camera in my shoe as well. And my tooth. And your ass. Add a camera = big whoop. Some upgrade that’s not. Nice to have? Maybe, sure. A deal breaker? Hardly.
- To counter those who say the camera is a deal breaker, I’ll just say “OLED screen”.

Apple just filled in their calendar for their next iPod event: September 15. Just a week after their ipod touch/Macbook deal ends, and the same day as the Zune release. I hope this Zune comes with a camera and GPS.

if this exact same zune HD profile is used for a phone it would look amazing hardware wise, and if the software/UI is responsive and smooth as the Iphone/ipod that means Microsoft finally got a winner, mybe they will call it Z-phone*

was trying to wait for the zune hd, and finally realized i don’t need a touchscreen mp3 player. so i bought a zune 120 from dell a couple of days ago and it should be here tomorrow!
