Please try not to compare this game with Gears of War. In fact, its best not to even mention hard core gamers since its a whole different genre.

Played it with my nephew during the weekend and almost whacked his head…twice. Good game but when New Super Mario Bros.Wii comes out for Christmas, it will be 1985 all over again!

3. Gears of War 2 sold 1,945,524 worldwide in it’s first WEEK, again, not 2 days. Plus, it’s a little different comparing a game that launched around the holidays to a game that launched at the end of July.

I also don’t know if I’d qualify Wii owners as those that will stand in line for doors to open for a new game launch. I give it 4 weeks max, and Wii Sports Resort will outsell GoW2.

@ O G Nerd: I love when people have no clue what they’re talking about, especially when the data is so readily available.

1. The article above is quoting American sales, not worldwide (which was 1,197,536 that week).
2. Gears of War sold 606,759 in America, and 910,931 during it’s first WEEK (where do you get two days?). It didn’t hit 2 million worldwide until it’s 4th week.

Seems like a fun family game. Not a lot of thinking or reading strategy guides to have fun.

Video Games do not have to be graphic intensive to be fun or exciting.

Nintendo seems to turn a profit at get its target market right. Take note Sony and Microsoft.

I purchased the Wii and also own an Xbox and PS2. I want a PS3, but until the price drops,it seems as if I will get an Xbox360 and bypass Sony this round for our home.

My wife got a copy. Must admit, it’s fun for everyone in my house. My son who’s 19 worked up a sweat on it, never did that on his 360.

Got my copy a week ago. There’s a good chance now that my tv screen will finally crack. The kids go wild in frisbee and sword fighting. Its a fun game!

got it the day it came out, and my wife is addicted to it. it really is fun. of course those hardcore gamers out there would much rather sit on their couches, since they’ve obviously forgot that video games are supposed to be fun.
