Rogers and Fido extend iPhone 3GS promotion through September 15th
We here at BGR know how difficult it’s been for Canadians to secure an iPhone 3GS due to low levels of inventory, so we thought we’d pass along some good news for those of you who are still waiting. The discount promotions for original Rogers/Fido iPhone 3G owners as well as the 6GB/$30 data plan has been extended. The details are exactly the same as they were the first time around except now the entire deal stays alive through September 15th. For those of you who are still waiting on your iPhone 3GS, it shouldn’t be much longer now. We’ve been told that stock levels are rising and everyone should be taken care of ASAP.
Maybe they should extend that data plan to all customers while they’re at it. I’ve said it a million times, but 5GB for $80 is god damned ridiculous.
The Data plan is the best in Canada right now. 6GB/$30 no body can beat it! I ordered my iphone on the 25th of JUNE. And its still not here…hope it comes soon!
Been waiting a month… finally some hope. They had to extend it given how long we’ve been waiting.
Actually telus and bell both have good plans. I’m fortunate that I’m on the unlimited 15 dollar plan from telus.
I’ve got the $25 UNLIMITED data plan that replaced the $15 plan, on Telus. It’s great!
I have the same $15 plan on Telus, but on the Rogers/Fido plan you can tether. With Telus, tethering will cost you $8 per mb with those plans.
Why would anyone want a “crippled” phone that you have to “jailbreak”?

Actually Rogers has MMS and tethering available. It’s only AT&T that fails that badly.

MMS and full tethering have been available on Rogers/fido since the intruduction of the 3.0 software and the 3GS launch in Canada. Do your research
I’ve been waiting 6 weeks now for my iPhone… Nobody will tell me anything. Trapped with my old phone and no idea when it’s coming. We should be compensated for the delay… they said it would be a week when Rogers talked me into the plan. Where is the customer service?
I recieved my 3GS two weeks after I ordered it. And you can change your data plan to the 6/30 anytime
