Sprint gives online Palm Pre sales the nod of approval

We imagine all the die hards and overly-excitable types have already gotten their Palm Pre fix, but those of you who haven’t yet should know that you’re running out of excuses. As of today, the Pre is finally up for grabs through Sprint’s website, meaning not only is it possible to get a cutting-edge smartphone without having to put on a pair of pants, but you’ll also have successfully avoided contact with a human being in doing so. That is, until it comes time to mail off that $100 MIR but it’s all about the short term, right?

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

    If you’re stuck with Sprint, no doubt you got to get this. If you’re a iPhone owner you might wanna hold on before jumping the boat, why? cause the only thing you’re gonna like is multitasking but there’s a list of about 100+ things you’re not going to like about it, sure most of them can be fix via software update but that’s gonna take time. I gave it a honest try for 2 weeks and Personally think there’s a bunch of stuff, simple stuff that will make you hate the device.

    It was online, but you were told to call or go in stores to get it. They just kept the picture up with the price but there was no way to order it online.

    The truth about Pre owners is that they’re all “die-hards” and “overly-excitable types.”

    Got it, tried it…….minimal apps….small keyboard…..took it back. My Motorola Q felt so big when I started using it again……I thought the Pre’s camera did a great job and the display was very crisp….but not $380 worth after accessories!

    @keymaker,

    Well you will pay less in monthly fees which is a plus. I took a look at my bill and think it’s insane I’m actually paying 30 dollars a month for the 1 gb or so of data i use in addition to text-ONLY (still no mms) in which I pay 15 for 1500. Really. It’s insane to pay that much for the tiny boost in speed you get on the flaky att 3g network. Tmobile might get me back. So sprint people. At least you get more for your money.

    everybody’s experience is different. i’ve read other forums where former iphone users were happy with the pre . it’s unfair to generalize that every person that comes from the iphone will hate it. it’s simply not true.

    I waited for a Pre-like phone a long, long time. Love the form factor. WebOs in a short span of time will zoom by the Iphone’s OS. In a short span of time the Pre will have more quality apps than the Iphone.

    Sit back and watch.

    web os 1.1 is out, how come nothing on Boygenius about it. I usually come here and find out all the stuff, but nothing today. I love everything about my pre(except the lack of webos apps), no I am not a palm or sprint die hard, was with tmobile and att for many years and it was a hard sell to get me to move over to CDMA, but I can’t beat 99/month(yes I got a 25% discount that I sweet talked my way into)for 1500min, and unlimited everything else for two lines both running pre’s. Would have cost way more for two iphones with comparable plans.
