Verizon BlackBerry Storm now $99.99

In case you still need convincing that a new Storm is on the horizon and Big Red-bound, Verizon just initiated a price drop for the BlackBerry Storm 9530 once again. This time, the clickable touchsreen-touting handset lands at $99.99 on a 2-year deal. Come to think of it, we’re pretty sure the Tour being $199.99 has more to do with the Storm’s price drop than Verizon’s hopes of gradually burning through inventory over the next few months until the Storm 2 drops, but that’s beside the point. Bottom line: the cheapest BlackBerry ever is now actually cheap.

Thanks, VZW!

I love the Storm! I’m on device number 5 (literally), and Verizon keeps sending me new ones every time the screen click quits working, the device quits charging, dust gets inside the screen, the microphone quits working, or it decides to go into an endless reboot cycle! It’s like having a crappy new phone for a whole year! Yeaaaaah!

P.S. I can’t wait for Verizon to get the iPhone.

Yes, thank you…i decided to actually skip the Tour & play the waiting game to get the Storm 2…I have to admit the Storm 1 was a pain in the ass but hey its a good device. The Storm2 will be what the Storm1 should have been at launch. Patience is a virtue

The CDMA Storm2 is for Verizon Wireless the 9550. There are rumors flooding every blog saying Rogers will have a GSM version of the storm 9520. So if Rogers get the GSM version of the Storm in Canada then at&t might stick their greasy paws & snag the first GSM version of the Storn here in the US. I doubt it though.

i have to agree with crapstorm… his sarcasm says it all. my phone is the original that i got, but it has a TON of dust under the screen which is enough for me to despise the device. I HATE dirty looking phones, even if a touchscreen. i’m biting the bullet, paying the early cancellation fee, and am switching to sprint since coverage here in DC is awesome and is $30 cheaper! hell yes!

storm – you were a waste of $500… FML
