Don’t know where you get $3000 for a “marginal notebook” I paid $1,600 for my macbook pro 15″ and I have a dell 15″ that was $1000. And yes. The macbook was far worth the extra $600. It has longer battery, I never have to shut it off, the screen is OLED, The touch pad is large and multi-touch, The keyboard is backlit. It’s super skinny 1, 3rd the size of the dell, It’s all aluminum instead of plastic, Wireless N, Better Speakers, Comes with usable software iPhoto, iMovie, Native PDF support. Native ISO and DMG and Other disk image support, Trayless CD/dvd multi drive, More Stable……..

Does that all add up to $600???? I use windows all day at work. But I use mac everywhere else.
Just no longer has Syncplicity….

This is rediculous. The only reason I use syncplicity is to sync my (Windows) work computer’s documents with my (macbook) personal computer.
Does anyone know if the the application on the macs will stop working or it just will no longer be available on their site?

Ovi Files (http://files.ovi.com) has Mac support and has just been converted to a 10GB free service. The cool thing is that if your home computer is online you can access all its files from any web-browser, e.g., from your phone. If your home computer is not online, you have access to the 10GB stored in the clouds.

I just started using it with my Mac and it is rather neat…

I have to agree with Whitney. I know its Microsoft, and that often gets quickly overlooked by some more savvy computer users, though, Mesh is quite a good product. It seamlessly backs up all changes to files quickly and without much care once you get it set up which takes mere seconds. All your files can be access online and easily synced back down to other computers.

I wonder how they can make their OS priced so low? $3,000 for a marginal notebook but the OS is only $29.00. Apple you are amazing.
