Clearly Apple store is ruling the roost in application arena… There is no one even near to it to compete.Nokia, RIM, Palm and Android all wanted to replicate App Store. Verizon is also toying with the idea by announcing its own APP store… But getting large number of developers and building the software is not bread and butter.. Catch App Store if you can!!

Wow…y’all are really getting pressed over some silly stats.

1.) Maverick. I have to agree, it did sound like you were describing an Android handset for a minute, LOL.

2.) Why does it care how many apps have been DOWNLOADED. I can download a single app 100 times over. Does that mean it’s actually good? It’s been stated that compared to Android users. They have less downloads, but yet they keep their apps longer. I’d choose quality of quantity any day.

3.) For the non Appleheads. Why CAN’T Appleheads and enthusiasts alike celebrate this accomplishment. No matter how they achieved the feat, they achieved it.

I thought these were adults on here. But clearly it seems to be lots of prepubescent kids. Shame.

I have an iphone as does my wife, my 2 year old likes to use it and I encourage him to, as I encourage him to play with the computer. We also go outside and play whiffel ball and go on the slides. Why would I care if Walmart sells the iphone? I appriciate what soldiers do for this country, but I don’t think you should steriotype everyone who has an iphone as people wholive in the basement I just bought a house have a good job and a family and I am even college edumacated

I’m a Marine. Trust me D&D and magic the gathering will not be happening. Not on our base. It’s so funny how you Apple fanboys love your phones. I don’t love a phone. I love my wife,my kids, the men that have my back in the desert and my M16.

I would love to see some of you basement boys get out and do something besides downloading apps all day. Plus you guys come on here and fight over what phone is better. I wish BG would start easing up on phone info and concentrate on other gadgets. I guess if that happened all you Apple fanboys would go nuts without your daily fix. It’s a sad sad world we live in when Apple fanboys freak out because Walmart started selling their Jesus phone. Guys grow up and get out of the basement!

First off I have an iphone 3G S but I don’t consider myslef a fanboy because I had enough restraint to not upgrade when the 3G came out. I see people here calling people names for being a fan boy uh jotour your a RIM fan boy personally I prefer apple I don’t need a physically jeyboard fully grown men have big fingers so when I have tested out small keyboards I end up hitting multiple keys with my phone if i hit to keys before I release the key I can slide to the proper key

Ah, or good thing you specified not having a physical keyboard… I might have thought you were talking about the G1 or Touch Pro 2!

And the physical keyboard thing is a moot point. Some people like it, some people don’t. That’s all preference and says nothing about the phone itself. Personally, I like having BOTH.

I have no problem with the one on screen and in landscape mode it gets better. hey how do you crop a pic on your blackberry or edit a video, can you load directly to youtube? Its not really fair game when comparing apple App store and Blackberry Apps. Most of the apps on the Blackberry are being downloaded via third party sites vs the appl App store is the only place you can get Apps. I’m not trying to say that Blackberry comes close to the I-apps, the point though, when you would try to calculate a percentage and how much the Blackberry share of the apps really are, you’d be plenty surprised.
