Next up in today’s line of handsets eager to fight their way into the pockets of the 14-and-under crowd is LG’s LX290. JoeTour says:

Since the Tour has a complete-no-strings-attached unlocked GPS, there is a good reason glansburg is hiding.
Anyway, back on topic, sprint isn’t having the Tour, as of today (-official launch day) most of sprints employees never even heard the name for crying out loud. The july 12 date was just a foolish ploy, a classic “12 year-old me too” moment, resulting in many pissed off customer’s, nice work, don hesse.

Anyway this phone is boring but then again it is a low cost feature phone so i guess it has the right to be. just wish they upgraded the camera to at least 2mp

    StevenGlansburg says:

Additionally, the name Steven Glansburg is from the movie Superbad from the line “What? you want me to sit here alone and eat desert like I’m fucking steven glansburg?” Unfortunately I can’t take the claim for the myspace profile as I am not dumb enough to use my real name on here. So, uh sorry Kenny et al.

    Stevie how are ya? Buddy!?!
BTW at least “crippling” is out of your lexican, for the time being………..GPS unlocked, ha? Yesterday some1 pointed out that ATT needs wifi to compensate of their lack of coverage in many important parts of the country, so true, isn’t it!?!

    StevenGlansburg says:

JoeTour, despite what you may think I have never been an advocate for a carrier and you are right, At&t sucks.. a lot, so wifi helps.

However, the iphone is the phone I really like having and I don’t have much of a choice in the carrier its on. I was on t-mobile 7 years prior to getting the 3g iphone… so if anything I feel for them.

In all seriousness, if the Iphone was on Verizon exclusively, I would be a Verizon customer. It really has nothing to do with the network for me, but I do understand the disdain many have for At&t.

As far as your Tour goes.. that’s great they stopped messing with the “crippling” of the gps, hopefully the carrier as whole continues on that trend because once they have LTE I’m assuming they will have many more options for phones like the rest of the GSM world.

Sprint is Basically maaking sure that every possible dimension of phones are covered. This is just that plane jane phone that sprint has been looking for. Used to be that a simple phone was a measily flip…not anymore, now u can get a measily slider. At least u have a choice between 2.
