Well, we didnt have cellphones readily available when i was 15-17 and the adults at the time were in a craze over having a Beeper/pager. We spent our time hitting up payphones for the quarters that never were there and bumming ice cream money from our mom for the icecream truck that passes by with a familiar tune. Speaking of moms, i paid my moms bills until i got married and my first cellphone was weaker than a solar calculator and had a gameboy style display. NOW in the present day, phones are all about style over substance for the majority of the youth but there are some that know a lot about their phone OS and that is what I like to see. Those types are the future leaders of the world. I dont know where they will lead us but atleast it will be a place of intelligence concerning technology. My oldest daughter loves her Wing but i am not shelling out $ on a smartphone dataplan: 5.99 T-zones! We as parents have to be smarter as well. I remeber trying to get quake to play on a top of the line Pentium 66 and now i have Quake Trilogy legally on my N82. Lasty, I hate to see misinformed adults make technological decisions. Ugh!what 65 year old needs an XPS Gaming laptop and they cannot even navigate Windows! I did see an old man with an Iphone and he looked like he knew his way around the app store.
