@ StevenGlansburg
While it is true that the name “StevenGlansburg” was taken from the movie Superbad, it is also true that the Myspace page belongs to you. Its more than a coincidence that the person in the pic is holding an iPhone, as we all know you consistently sing its praises. Your prolonged silence has spoken volumes StevenGlansburg. As already stated-

If you werent constantly such a dick you wouldnt have been given the ass whipping I dished out to you. We are all human, non of us without flaw so I think we are all willing to wipe the slate clean and start over, if you can be civil then so can we. The ball is now in your court.
At this point, I am asking the “BGR monitor”, to kindly intervene, stop this imature behavior!
Cease this behavior immediately, further continuation, can potentialy implicate both parties into legal complications, regarding e-correspondence laws& social websites, and consequences of violations there of.
Thank You

UPDATE:
So after ordering the Tour on Sunday through Verizon and not getting a tracking number via e-mail I called. They were able to give me the tracking number and it’s on its way and will be here by tomorrow. Sweet.
I just checked my order status on sprint, it is out for delivery today! I had the same message all day sunday and monday it said the warehouse is processing the order.
@RU when did u place ur order?
I don’t see what the big deal is. It has GSM capabilities overseas and a 3.2MP camera. Other than that, it’s a steam-rolled Curve. I’m not trying to be a hater, I think Blackberries are great but c’mon RIM you’re gonna need more than a camera and global capabilities to win me over. It’s time to innovate again. Back to the drawing board…
I ordered 2 from Sprint 12:15 am Sunday, they were delivered today.
WARNING ON THE TOUR! MY BATTERY DOOR DOESN’T CLOSE PROPERLY (NOT TIGHT) AND OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS LOOSE!
Did an online order on sprints website sunday afternoon. Got the same email most have you have gotten. with 2-5 processing time. Now I am told 5-8 days “due to high demand” backorder time. At the same time I have been told before I inform them that I ordered the phone online that the phone is in-stock. Sprint is so full of shit! After my plan is up I will be going to vzw for sure
Alright, I was one of the idiots who thought that the Tour was going to be in Sprint stores on July 12th. So I ordered mine at around 12:30 pm that day. By the next day, my tracking status said it was on back-order. And it still says back-order today. So I called Sprint websales earlier and a csr, who I could barely understand by the way, told me that the Tour was not in yet, but should be within this week. So I’m like why did you guys even say July 12th then, especially if you couldn’t pre-order or go to stores? And he’s like I’m sorry sir, I don’t know, would you like to speak to so and so. Then I hung up. If anyone is having more luck than me, please let me know cuz I’m dying this phone and even considering switching over to vzw, and I can’t even afford those plans!!! And does anyone know of any tour-specific forums or pages?
I ordered my Tour at 12:15 AM on Sunday and my order is listed as back ordered. I contacted my corporate Sprint rep and was told that they only got their demo tours late last week and there wouldn’t be any significant shipping of tours until next Monday (7/20). So I am fully expecting to see mine arrive no earlier than next Tuesday.
A friend of mine told me he went to the store monday and ordered his and he got his today smfh wtf….and he’s with sprint….i didnt believe him he sent me pics and all….i ordered mine @ 1am sunday morning and it still say back order….fuckin sprint is pissin me off…but my discount is too big and good from them…so i guess im stuck for now…fuck it!! lol
am i the ONLY one who’s NOT excited about the Tour!!!???
No you aren’t, not even a WiFi edition will do it for me
I picked mine up at 8:15 on Sunday morning from a suburban Verizon store that just converted from Alltel. I was the only person there. They had over 30 in stock, but there was no morning rush.
I moved up from a Pearl and use a Curve for work (both Verizon), so I’m very, very happy with the upgrade. The keyboard is solid and easy to use, the screen is much, much better than the Pearl’s, and it has downloaded apps and web pages much faster. The browser still isn’t on par with Safari on my old iPod Touch, but it is 1000% better than the Pearl experience. With the right apps, I don’t need to go on the web that often, either, but I was able to use several Java-enabled sites without any problems. I’ve converted all of my music and video now from the A-train and just carry the Tour.
I don’t have the battery door issue, thankfully, and while the screen does ripple when I press on it, I don’t intentionally press the screen, so it doesn’t bother me. I can see why wifi is a need for some people, but I’m rarely in environments where the wifi isn’t locked down (at the office), and VZW works well everywhere I go, so I’m not going to lose sleep over it. It would certainly be nice to have (and I’ll carry the Touch with its wifi overseas to limit int’l data usage), but I can function just fine without it. VZW unlocked the SIM card for me without any issues, so I’m finally ready to be outside of the U.S. with a Verizon phone.
Overall, after a little more than three days of use, I’ll say that it was worth the wait.
Latest update on Sprint Tour order placed 7/12 @ 12:08am.. Apparently there was a “system glitch that caused some Tour orders to be processed out of sequence”…….
“We have experienced strong demand for the Blackberry Tour which has placed your order, or a portion of your order, in backorder status. While every attempt is made to fulfill orders first in and first out, a system issue earlier in the week resulted in some orders being shipped out of sequence. Our shipping commitment for the Tour remains 5 to 8 business days based on date of order. If you would like to select an alternate product or cancel your backordered item, please call 866-789-8292 between 8:00 a.m. EST to 11:00 p.m. EST Monday to Friday or 9:00 a.m. EST to 9:00 p.m. EST on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that cancellation requests may not always process successfully due the speed of warehouse processing. If you cancelled your backordered item but still received a shipment, please refuse the shipment or call us to process a return within 30 days of receipt.”
That’s my most recent update as well….this is pretty ridiculous.
Problems with Tour 9630 case?
I have one. The battery cover/back casing doesn’t fit very snug – loose, big gap, feels like I could just pop it off without much effort.
Very cheap feel. Haven’t bothered to bring it online yet.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyy. After wading through all the name-calling posts, I finally found yours. Wish I hadn’t. Hoped mine was a lemon. I may have to return it to wait until they get the kinks worked out. Although I’d've thought that the CASE would be something dealt with a long time ago!
Ordered mine 10am on Sunday July 12th from Sprint
Got it in the mail Tuesday at 10am delivered to my office.
No complaints. My buddy ordered his right after me (using the same rep on the same phone call) and his is on back order. I can’t explain it.
But I am VERY Satisfied with this phone. Hang in there guys…it will be worth the wait.
As far as the loose case….gimme a break…no big deal
I love how so many people hadn’t a fukin clue, about the online/telephone only order status. The world is full of assholes.
Steve Glandsburg is a homo, who like shoving his iphone up his ass.
I was told 5-8 days for my tour also. Ordered on Sun. actually had it in hand Tues. at noon.
Sprint has really got there act together with shipping this phone… Within 5 minutes last night I first got an email explaining that the strong demand would delay my phone and that I should expect it next week. Then I got an email with my shipping confirmation and a tracking number for overnight delivery today. If this was my first experience with Sprint, I wouldn’t be a customer for long, however having been a long term Sprint customer, I have a plan for 8 phones that no other supplier can come close to with regards to cost so I guess I just have to accept their customer service problems.
Good news for everyone is that they ARE shipping some Tours.
This should give hope to anyone who isn’t up for an upgrade but wants a Tour badly. A little persistence went a long way with Verizon. I called customer service 5 times and expained that a new feature in the Tour OS was why i had to upgrade. 3 magic words did it “switch service provider”. Don’t try your luck in a store, they have complete control over limited stock, so do it over the phone. I wasnt up for an upgrade for another 11 months. Yes, you read that correctly.
Upgrading from an 8330 Curve, the Tour is amazing.
