Best Buy to offer the TELUS BlackBerry Tour for $229

We appreciate the fact that many people are sick and tired of all of the coverage the BlackBerry Tour has received lately but the fact is there are tons of people eager to get their hands on a modern CDMA BlackBerry with a QWERTY keypad. Both TELUS and Bell are going to be carrying the Tour as we know, with TELUS offering it for $249.99 as of July 15th — kind of a steep price considering a 3-year contract is required. So for those who are looking to save any amount of money up front on the device, we recommend checking out Best Buy where the Tour is $20 cheaper compared to TELUS’ direct price. It’s not much but every penny counts these days.

Thanks, Ed!

sounds like thats really the only plus about the Tour. i beg to differ, and that contradicts our own Boy Genius who said “this is the best blackberry experience ever” that includes GSM on big blue!!!

I don’t understand all of the press for this thing. Blackberries are the smartphones/pdas of business people. These people get their phones handed to them by their company or sold to them by their local rep.

Bottomline, they have little choice in the matter. BGR should focus more on phones that people with choices will consider.

BB took the page down! The link in the post was working earlier this morning but now the Tour product page of the BB website is gone.

Corporate Users have the full choice sometimes.

In my company I chose any company I like with the phone I like then I activate my BES with our IT people as simple as that. The reimburse the unit on an expense report !

I will upgrade as soon as it is available I am already on a waiting list from Telus coporate store.

So yes all the hype on the Tour is valid for coporate users as well.
