I’m using it,and I used iphone before.Meizu M8 has some advantages just like play video and music.

Meizu has good track record in media player. Their product is cheaper, but good quality and spec.

But story is different on smartphone. They need improvement in web browser and phone reception while apps are running.

WinCE is easier for them to develop these new products, but it is hard for them to come out with the needed improvement. They will need to move into Android.

Even if this ui is pretty it’ll never perform as silky smooth as the iPhone! And now iPhone 3Gs is even better! Everything is smooth as butter!

Meizu is actually makes really quality products. Maybe the money they save on R&D by copycatting Apple goes into quality materials and production. I bought a Meizu Miniplayer about 5 years ago for $100 and it turned out to be one of the best electronic values ever. It has outlasted 2 iPods, gets dropped, kicked, scratched, burned and still works perfectly.

Your reference about them getting kicked out of the CeBIT because of the iPhone clone was wrong. They got shutdown for a little bit due to an mp3 codec patent infringement.

The M8 phone is about about half price of an iphone($300 for 8g, no contract). It has multilanguage support, at least English. This new UI is rumored for Android OS(current is on winCE 6). The M8 has a better screen than iphone so it’s a great mediaplayer. However it has no 3g and reception problems.
