Verizon BlackBerry Tour Unboxing
Well boys and girls (and especially CDMA BlackBerry-lovers), your much-awaited BlackBerry Tour launch date is getting closer and closer. To try and make it easier on you, we’ve got our hands on a retail Verizon BlackBerry Tour and put together a quick unboxing for you. Part 2 of our popular BlackBerry Tour review will be coming soon, but in the meantime, couple sneak peaks:
- The battery door isn’t all glossy anymore which was scratch city. It’s got soft-touch rubber on the outer part and the inner part is a carbon-fiber material. Really, really sharp.
- The dark chrome bezel which is also found on the BlackBerry Onyx looks stunning on the Verizon Tour.
- The device comes with a BlackBerry leather holster!
You’ll have to wait until the second part of the review is done for more, but in the meantime, check the gallery!

Is this the version with Wi-Fi? Oh, no it isn’t. I don’t need it when I have EVDO Rev. A coverage 99% of the time including my basement, underground parking garages, etc. But by all means, AT&Tools, whine about it not having Wi-Fi so when I go see BillyBobJoeRay on the farm I’ll regret it (even though I’d prob still have coverage.) I’d rather suffer there than worry about not having coverage in the city or have constant connectivity problems with AT&T SwissCheese3G.
I kid I kid.
@ joeTour
I wasn’t talking to you. I was talking to BP1002 who wrote:
“photos look fake.. Shows AT&T as carrier”

Love it except for the battery door. They should make it the same as Bold or Curve 2. And the fuss it’s a world phone for CDMA.
Ohh chanman, sorry.
let existing customers pre-order verizon!
Does anybody know if the GPS on this phone will be unlocked by Verizon? Sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere else.
sounds like theres a lot of homos on here!!!who the hell talks about dick on a tech site like this!!
The BlackBerry TOUR rocks!!

@RelativeTheory Dude, 256megs is the operating memory, not storage memory.
Hey Im a VZW customer trying to decide between the Storm, the Tour, and the Omnia(the oddball, but i like it lol). Any sugestions?
can sum1 tell me which way it will be faster to get phone. preordering or when it comes out. A a couple of verizon representatives online said that its the 12th is shipment day so they may not be in the stores that day. Its just the day they become available the preorders wont be shipped out till the 13th
Is the Tour dropping for AT&T too?
Are the keys on the tour quiet? I always disturb my boyfriend when typin late at nite!
i was wondering the same thing, the woodpecker noise is disturbing… as the bb’s get older the noise gets worse… a subtle detail that some companies notice
what twitter app is that on the bolds home screen!!!????
You sound like a whiny 5 year old, seriously.
That was at this comment, btw.

why the hell isn’t verizon letting us pre-order this thing. i want the TOUR now!!!
the Tour keys look alot like the 8800 keys, which are very quiet. I don’t mind the Curve clickity clack..in fact, i think curve >>> 8800 WE keyboard, but both blow any other keyboard out of the water so i’ll hardly be complaining.
but smh @ some broad worrying about keeping her boyfriend up. How about u stop texting other d00ds while he’s sleep.
TOUR! ‘Nuff said
I can’t wait til this releases on Sprint…I’ve been waiting patiently

@Grrr – They are letting us pre-order. I just bought one – 99$ upgrade. Nice.
how did you get it for $99..its $199 with online discount
It looks like they finally went back to a better case design with the sides and bottom squared off instead of tapered like the Curve 8900 and Storm cases. Those cases with the tapered sides/end are so much bulkier than the previous cases with the elastic on the sides and the rounded bottom (like the original curve and 8700 cases). Every time I try to put my Storm back in the tapered case while I’m using a Bluetooth earpiece the case hits the end key and hangs up the phone call.
