Verizon BlackBerry Tour Unboxing
Well boys and girls (and especially CDMA BlackBerry-lovers), your much-awaited BlackBerry Tour launch date is getting closer and closer. To try and make it easier on you, we’ve got our hands on a retail Verizon BlackBerry Tour and put together a quick unboxing for you. Part 2 of our popular BlackBerry Tour review will be coming soon, but in the meantime, couple sneak peaks:
- The battery door isn’t all glossy anymore which was scratch city. It’s got soft-touch rubber on the outer part and the inner part is a carbon-fiber material. Really, really sharp.
- The dark chrome bezel which is also found on the BlackBerry Onyx looks stunning on the Verizon Tour.
- The device comes with a BlackBerry leather holster!
You’ll have to wait until the second part of the review is done for more, but in the meantime, check the gallery!

sharp…wanna dump my storm now.
Why does it look in all the pics like there is a gap around the screen like the Storm? Or is the screen flush like the bold?
Did touching a verizon phone make you instantly want to suck a dick, since everybody on verizon is a flaming homo?
Ew, that battery door is f-ugly. Damnit.
Two questions why in the world would it have the evaluation sticker on the battery door and the other what OS is it rocking. 4.7.1.xx
In those pictures the bezel looks like the plain silver…is it the lighting of flash of the camera that is hiding the black chrome?
Can’t wait, looks beautiful! How does the screen compare to the bold? Is it as sharp or better.
jdizzle,
not cool bro, not cool.
@ jdizzle
I don’t think I can actually respond to your post with a name like jdizzle.
Anyways, this device looks amazing. But is it just me or does the trim not look as black as we’ve been seeing?
YES!!! the better battery door!!! tuh tuh tuh TOUR!!!
@jdizzle
I have to agree with Stang86. I think you typed that d on accident and your name should’ve looked like jizzle you douche.
Oh internets…why must you torment me so.

“The battery door isn’t all glossy anymore which was scratch city. It’s NOT soft-touch rubber on the outer part and the inner part is a carbon-fiber material. Really, really sharp.”
Did you mean that IT IS soft-touch rubber on the outer part?
@jorGeorge
Yep, fixed not to got. Thanks!
@Bdizzah
Screen is sharper than the Bold due to increased resolution in a physically smaller LCD. Really the best Berry screen there is…
why the hell isn’t verizon letting us pre-order this thing. i want the TOUR now!!!
Basically a storm with a keyboard and on board memory No?
edit Basically a storm with a keyboard and more on board memory?
Looks like a smaller scale Bold. So what’s the fuss? it’s on Verizon?
Didn’t you hear: holsters are gay.
It’s funny how significant this phone is for Verizon users but for us Bold users this is a big yawnfest.
Congrats Verizon, finally a decent Berry to your lineup… with a real keyboard that is
I came across this website as I need to get a blackberry for work. I have a 5 yr old LG flip phone. I had no idea people were so involved with phones. Sort of odd.
photos look fake.. Shows AT&T as carrier
**Drools**
BG,
amazing news. I think most if not all of us on VZW are beyond happy to be getting a fresh new berry!!!
@ BG
there are reports floating that the sprint version will be a silver trim and VZ’s will be more dark titanium (like sprints curve) and there is head to head pics confirming it.
now, you’r unboxing has it both ways, maybe the lighting isnt good, or something. is it a dark trim or more silver, Boy Genius???
Really the best Berry screen there is…
at least one thing above the Bold. that should be enough to keep quiet the hateful trolls.
